  6. Sweet, I'll pop up to Ellon some weekend when the weather starts getting better and we can have a detailing session I'll bring the red bull R
  7. Ha ha, women, I get the same when im overtaking on country roads, im gonna have to install a jesus handle in the car for her i think R
  8. I find that the GM is a VERY forgiving colour when it comes to swirl marks. They are nearly invisible unless using a lamp/torch. Very handy, its the main reason I chose it over the black as I have serious OCD when it comes to car cleaning so if I had black it would drive me crazy. R
  9. Fair question, I was wondering that too If it works like most other things that run off firmware, it doesnt matter if the flash fails, you can re-write it again, presumably from the backup they took of your ECU before starting to flash it. This is how it works for things like computers and phones, so I dont see this working any differently. If the ECU was bricked for some reason, I would be expecting RS Tuning to be picking up the bill for a new ECU, but I think it highly unlikely they would have stock of the different types of ECU in house. I dont think I have ever heard of an ECU being bricked in all my time of following remapping though, so cant see this being a problem. If worst comes to worst they can debug it on the bench or whip the chip off and replace/reprogramme it off the ECU. R
  10. You could fabricate some struts behind the unit that will strengthen the box, this means you can cut away the sides? R
  11. Not this month but my to do list for the future is: 1. Eibach springs 2. P3 3. Probably new tyres 4. Tax 5. Lip kit 6. Carbon bonnet and eyelids 7. Tints 8. Plenum spacer That will do for the moment. What do you need 4 years NCB for? I have zero now after my claim and it's only gonna cost me £600 next year. R
  12. Spotted you twice in the same place hours apart whilst I was waiting to turn onto union street at soul, then proceeded to chase you down the harbour front I would have followed you into cineworld for a chat but i'd just been out to buy beers and they were turning tepid. Also spotted a sunset pulling out of the Talisman carpark. R
  13. Once you try it out on your car you can give mine a going over, see if you can shine up my primer. R
  14. was thinking that if you can't repair it you can always have the splitters colour coded to your car leaving the carbon lip in the middle, I always think that looks awsome. R
  15. Is it a makita? R
  16. To be honest, anything to help me see out of the back for a change is a worth while mod. I've taken insperation from your install and I have a camera sitting waiting to get fitted, just waiting for a signal booster before I rip my stereo to bits. R
  17. Lol, yeah will stick some GA photo's up, but only if they are taken from the front row looking up R
  18. Thats the most rediciulous thing I have ever seen in my life R
  19. I'm putting forward the simplest and most straight forward mod available. For me I feel that aesthetically the only thing that lets the zed's look down is the inability to fill the arches even with 245 18" wheels. I have installed 20mm Eibach spacers all around to push the wheels out giving it a wider stance and less airspace in the arches. This is probably one of the most cost effective exterior mods available and requires very little technical knowledge to install them. Sorry about the crappy iphone photo's as I just installed them today and my girlfriend has knicked my camera to go see girls aloud. Will get some better ones up soon. Oh and yes I know it needs lowering, thats next on the cards R
  20. Cheers lad, have told him to get onto the trading standards.....thats what he gets for buying from Evan Halshaws, they deal nissan here too and they are f g useless. R
  21. Depending on how big the mark is I have seen people touching up CF with paint and a brush, you need a fair amount of time and patients though. R
  22. Bear with me a while whilst I explain this situation. Basically back in February my brother in law put a deposit down for a brand new renault megane coupe from the dealers which was due for delivery about a month ago. The garage agreed to transfer his private plates for him prior to pick up and said they were waiting in the documents from the DVLA. About 3 weeks have passed and the garage kept fobing him off saying they were still waiting on the documents, so he decided to call the DVLA himself to check up on it. When he called the DVLA he was informed that the documents were issued and had been picked up weeks prior. He then called the dealer to imform them of his contact with the DVLA to which the documents "mirraciously" appeared. Anyway.....he said to the dealer he wanted the car within the next few days or he would pull out of the contract, the dealer said ok and they went to get the car from the lock-up. As the driver was taking the car out of the lock-up he took the corner too tight and smashed the rear quater. Obviously my bro was more than peeved about this especially with the nonsence with the DVLA, so he politly told the dealer to ram the car where the sun dont shine and he was pulling out of the contract. The dealer informed him that he couldn't do that and legally he didn't have a leg to stand on, so he would have to take the car?!?!?! He called citizens advice which told him the dealers were probably right? Now am I missing something here, he orders a brand new car, they mess him around for months, they then crash the car and expect him to pay a new price for a damage repaired car??!!!! Sorry about the length of the thread but does anyone have any advise on this situation. Cheers R
  23. Thanks mike, probably gonna have to go down that route however much it pains me. R
