  1. Thanks for all your comments people. We all met the doctor at Wishaw General today to get my dads results, and it was a mixture of good and bad news. They are still not 100% sure where the original primary source is as of yet, but they think it is from the gallbladder area, and it did indeed test positive for cancerous cells. They are going to be putting my dad through chemotheraphy, and put him on various anti-cancer drugs. Dr Smith today advised it is all about prolonging my dads life, rather than eliminating the cancer. Don't know what to say at the moment, but my old man is upbeat. Stephen
  2. Thanks Ricey, and Neil. Neil, thanks for your offer mate.. I have your number, so i'll give you a text sometime.
  3. My zed is currently sitting under 8 inches of snow. I tried moving it last night, and managed a total of 5 inches before I was stuck.
  4. No need to speak to Walter, just give a few SFA officials a quick phonecall, and I am sure Motherwell could get a few dodgy penalties. That is appreciated Irfan. Stephen.
  5. Thanks for all of the kind words, and the PM I received from a member on here. I have drawn strength from the messages on here, and feel better each day. My dad has been getting more exhausted day by day, which I can only assume is due to the medication. He nodded off at 10pm last night on the sofa, which he never does.. And I had to keep nudging him, as I didn't want him to go to sleep, incase he never woke up. On Sunday I am doing a 5k run round the local loch (Strathclyde Park) for the cancer charity of my dads choice. I am going to be training harder and harder, and hopefully be back up to half marathon level again, and raise as much money as possible for my dad. His beloved team Motherwell F.C. are also sending him a get well soon card, which hopefully will be signed by all the team. I feel so upset that he has been to every game for the past few seasons, home, away, even to eastern Europe, France, Wales to see his club and can no longer make it due to his illness. As a surprise, the family are going to book a box for the Motherwell V Rangers game this New Year.. which shall be great. 3 Course Meal, Champagne, all the drinks you want, meet the team, get a teamsheet and match program. And again, thanks guys.
  6. I was told at the start of the week that my dad has cancer at the age of 56. They have found 6 secondary tumors and blood clots in his longs, and also found cancer in his liver. He has been tired for around a month now, and went to the doctors and A&E twice. The first doctor said he had nothing wrong with him, and sent him home the first weekend with terrible pains in his side. Second weekend in hospital, the doctor diagnosed him with Pluracy. The following day, my father was in much discomfort and the doctor mocked him infront of two medical students by calling him a "woosy" and women go through worse in childbirth. They were ready to let him go again, until he had spoke to another doctor from a different hospital, that recommended he went for a CT scan as a precautionary measure incase of blood clots in his lungs. And that is when they noticed his illness. I went up to the hospital with my Mother on the Monday, and thats when he told us. It was the worst news I have had in my short 22 years on this planet. We have been visiting twice a day to see him, and it looks like he has gave up. On Friday, they removed liquid from his lungs, then sent him home. Now that he is now home, he is on various medication and is self injecting blood thinners for the clots. He is now home, and is a little more comfortable, but still in a great deal of pain. My dad, and the whole family are in pieces. I have never seen fear like this in my fathers eyes before, nor have I seen him cry before. His eyes well up as soon as he talks about anything related to his illness, and the future for us and our family. Sorry for blabbing on, this feels like the only place I can share my feelings, as I need to stay strong for my Mum and Dad. I struggle to get to sleep with everything racing about in my head, and have had about 20 hours sleep in a whole week. I am going to take the zed up to the dealers tomorrow, and I am going to take whatever they offer me for it, and buy my dads 09 Corsa 1.4 diesel off of him, so I can take him about for treatment. It's when you are told bad news like this, your whole view of life has been put into a different perspective. There's me going out every weekend, fancy restraunt's, always out on the bevvy, buying loads designer clothes, £2000 watches, and my dad has had nothing all his life. The look on his face when he got home will be an image that will be burned in my memory for the rest of my life. And the delight when we bought him a Samsung Galaxy tab was priceless. I am sorry for all the blabbing on, and sorry if some of this does not make sense, I can't think straight just now. I wont be active on here for a while, but I definately feel better after writing this out. If anyone wants a cheap UK Zed, give me a PM and we can sort something out. Stephen.
  7. I spotted a bronze zed on my daily commute this morning. I'm sure I recognise the reg from on here. Stephen
  8. details state "One local doctor owner" so I guess Stephen is correct . Has the bottom really dropped out of the market since August? I managed to get £16,250 for my 57 plate without sat-nav and only 6 weeks tax on a private sale at that time Nice one! Did not think there was many about in this colour combination in the area. It looks like a well looked after car, and the Dr always tootled about in it. His new R35 looks amazing though.
  9. Don't suppose I seen you last Tuesday? Gunmetal GT with black front lip going up Hamilton road in Motherwell?
  10. The link will not work on my phone, but it sounds like a doctors who works in the surgery at the end of my street. He traded his in for an R35 GTR. Is the plate P1 OME?
  11. Thanks for the suggestions folk. I've got some ice cream in the freezer, so i'll try and give it a bash Martin. I will give the Absinthe a miss tonight, as the last time I drank it at a party, I ended up smoking Cuban cigars, and lay in bed dying for days.
  12. Lovely car ATTAK, the colour is gorgeous. the DB9 is one of my dream cars. How does it compare to the zed? Any videos of the car revving? Does it turn heads more than the zed? - Stephen goes away to call his bank manager...
