  1. Just re read your post and realised your taking your motorbike. when are you doing it? I'm currently doing das training...
  2. Hi Adam. I'm glad your niece is getting better. I'll sponsor you when I get access to my home computer. If you fancy it, I'll join you in part of your cycle and help you to the finish line? All the best.
  3. Went on the Wiggle site to buy Shimano shoes. Ended up getting the shoes, sunglasses, a new rear LED light and energy supplements.
  4. My brother has the M520's on his Boardman and he said they do the job. I'll take onboard what you have said as I have never rode clipless before, I don't fancy falling face first onto tarmac. I'm looking to use my bike mainly on the road for commuting, and i'll take it offroad down the local park on the off chance we have a pleasant day up in Scotland. Seen the M520's for £20 posted, which seems a great price.
  5. What pedals and shoes would you guys recommend? I'm looking at Shimano SPD M540... any good?
  6. Cracking pics AK350Z! I can't wait until the better weather comes in and I can take my bike up North. Here is a few photos of my Boardman MTB Comp I took in the dark tonight. Notice a few wee bits of carbon fibre.. nothing special. I bought it a few months ago, and have done over 350 miles on it just using it as my daily commuter to work, and a round the local park. What an excellent bike it is for the money. Took my Continental Speed King's off tonight, and replaced them with Continental Ultra Gatorskin tyres. The difference in speed on the road is fantastic, I just need to be careful and bed them in so I don't fall on my bum. My next purchase is definately Shimano pedals and shoes.

  8. What model of HTC do you have? I also have the Desire, and I had no issues pairing up my phone.
  9. Spotted Cragus in the Railway Tavern in Motherwell a few weeks ago, also spoke to him in Motherwell's most upmarket up and coming super club "Skoosh". Hope you had a good night mate.
  10. Hi all, long time no speak. Zed has gone, bought myself a Boardman MTB Comp, which I highly recommend, and been training hard for the run. I'm also doing the Glasgow to Edinburgh 51 mile cycle which should be great Raised £110 for Macmillan by selling cakes in work, which is excellent. I have also done a few football cards. Started bike lessons also, I passed my CBT last Tuesday, have my theory on Wednesday, and should hopefully have a full licence in a few weeks. Looking at getting a 600cc Suzuki Bandit, or Yamaha XJ6 My dad is greatly missed, and there is a huge void there that will never be filled. But hopefully by raising some money for Macmillan, I can also help others in that are currently living with cancer. Went to the Motherwell v Celtic game on Sunday, which was my first game since my dad passed away. Sat in his season ticket seat, and Motherwell beat Celtic 2-0. It was Motherwells first victory against Celtic for 6 years. I'm sure he will have loved it from the best seat in the house. Hope all is well here, and I will hopefully be back in a 350z or 370z in the near future. Stephen.
  11. Your excess is excessive to say the least. When I had my zed at 20, I had 2 years NCB, no points or bumps and my insurance was £1300 for 10 months, with an excess of roughly £500 if memory serves me correctly. I would tinker about with your quote, you may find that by lowering your excess, your policy quote will not rise by much.
  12. Yes it was yourself, unless there is another 370z going in the 'Shire with an 06 private plate..
  13. I spotted you a few days ago G at Motherwell cross. Car looked great.
  14. Thanks people. Currently in the hospital waiting room, my dadhas been given his last rights. Don't know why I'm on here, head isn't thinking straight.
  15. GM grey 54 plate on Maryhill Road last night. 04 Black on Dumbarton Road last night 57 Black on Dumbarton Road today Bronze with a cherished plate, Asian chap driving.. Omar or something? Hamilton asda a few nights back. I was undercover in the Corsa. BTW, the 04 on Dumbarton Road, I didn't fancy a race in my 1.4 diesel Corsa.
  16. Evening fellow zedders! Just a wee update on how my old man is getting on. He was recently transferred to the Golden Jubilee hospital in Clydebank for an operation on his lungs, to prevent cancerous fluid accumulating in them. However, he has had constant set back after setback, and he has been in hospital for over a month. In the time he has been in hospital, he has turned into skin and bones, and can't open his eyes up, and struggles to talk. On Monday night, he took a bad turn, and is in a terrible way just now. The consultant met with us today, and advised my dad has weeks to live due to pneunomia, and another infection that he has. He is heavily reliant on oxygen, and he started his morphine driver today. I can't imagine how he is feeling and what is going through his mind at the moment. Just goes to show how precious life can be, and how your life can be turned upside down in months. So please live life every day like its your last, I know I certainly will, and make sure all my loved ones are well looked after. My zed is also sold, and the new member from this forum should collect it on Friday. I'm gutted she's going... Stephen
