  1. Well done mate, it looks like a great dat out, and for a very worthy cause. Btw, I may be wrong, but is your front tyre on inside out?
  2. Whats the pro's/con's of a Yamaha FZ6 S2? Seen a cracker for sale today. 2007 (07) 1 owner, 6k miles Immaculate, with new tyres, full history for only £2800. Think I might get it next week...
  3. I covered 21 road miles in just over an hour in the pouring rain today, and absolutely loved it.
  4. I have Alpinestars goretex gloves and boots, Hein Gericke goretex Nagano textile jacket and bottoms, and a Shoei XR1100 helmet.

  7. Fell off my bike at a set of traffic nights in the middle of the town centre a few nights back, and it was comical. Unclipped my right foot, and my brain told me to stand on my left leg... It is all history from there.
  8. Are Honda's really that good for the extra premium? I can get a near new Kawasaki ER6 for £4,000, whereas I can get a 5 year old CBR600F for a the same price. I had a look at insurance quotes on CBR600RR's, and almost died.
  9. I'm learning on an er6n, and at the moment I think it feels fast enough for me.. but i'm not sure how long it would last. Even going 70 on my lessons feel like i'm going much faster on the er6 as the wind is hitting you when i'm sitting upright, and it is a naked bike. Andlid, I am getting a bike for mainly weekend use, and the odd commute. My elder brother has just bought a ZX12R, so we'll be going tours of the highlands this summer if all goes well. The ER6 is coming in at £600 a year for insurance, which is pretty good for my age I thought? Cheers
  10. I am currently doing direct access, and have my test coming up soon. I was wondering what would be an ideal first bike, bearing in mind i'm 22, and insurance may be an issue. I am looking for something I can sit more upright on, but it still looks sporty. Naked or fairings do not bother me.. I have been looking at Kawasaki ER6's.. anyone got any advice on them? Ideas people?? Cheers
  11. All sold, can a mod please lock this thread. Thanks.

  13. I'll start the bidding at a fiver.
  14. i had a similar problem on another car, basically the oil breather pipe was sending vapours over to the throttle body, an oil catch tank solved the problem, readily available from fleabay.
  15. Hi all, 4 x 20mm Eibach spacers - £50 posted. **note** do not come with nuts to secure to hub as I have lost them** Interior grab handle - Used condition with a few marks.. would be ideal to di-noc in Carbon fibre. £10 posted. Thanks.
  16. You tried any other methods for raising extra funds? I have baked cakes, made biscuits, put football cards round work and even sold multipack cans of juice to raise some extra funds. Selling goodies in work is a great way to make extra money, as everyone has a sweet tooth, and there is lots of money to be made from it. You could even wash cars in your work carpark for a minimum of a £5 donation. Stephen.
  17. I never used to close my boot with the latch as it was covered in grease. Used to close the boot by pressing the Nissan burger badge.
  18. Your doing great mate. It won't be long til you reach 1k. All the best.
  19. GM with aftermarket bodykit spotted going down Merry St in Motherwell after the Aberdeen game , and also seen last night turning left after Response in Glasgow.
  20. I got Shimano MT33 SPD Leisure Shoes. They are comfy and they do the job well. Fitted the pedals today, and they have transformed my bike making it much more easily to pick up speed, and go up inclines.
  21. Thats unlucky Ash. What kind of tyres are on yours? One of my Continental Gatorskins lasted 6 miles, and burst on my way to work on Friday.
  22. Not at all Adam, I've nearly reached my £2000 target, and I know how distressing it is having a loved one that is ill. I think you should aim higher and raise your target. You'll get over £1000 easily. Cheers
