  1. got the car back from the garage today. polyurethane bushings (suspension, dif, chasis) fitted. hks hypermax III coilovers fitted and adjusted front and rear nismo strut braces fitted front and rear drop links fitted front gt spec tie fitted high flow cats (dont know what adam sent me lol) plus new gaskets fitted nismo lsd fitted Zmanalex red brembo calipers with rbf 660 juice fitted still waiting from gt spec the 2 rear ties and the front fenders bracings car sounds amazing!!!!!!!!!!! brembo calipers coilovers and handling 100% better although wheels havent been aligned yet nismo lsd........dont know yet.....straight line i have to try to get wheelspin but try and turn left or right at a junction and it bangs and creaks something wrong me thinks there.....currently set at 1.5 to 1 and about 60% initial torque....
  2. ebay, traders on here... Zmanalex is my man but have a look at the traders bit, sarah (chilli red), r35lee (lee) and lots more its not an air box...its just an inlet type thing that makes the hole on your bumper look decent and guides air on the after market air filter (kn, nismo etc). if you are using the standard box i dont know if and what you can do
  3. two ways....one get a pipe all the way behind the bumper, second use the air inlet on the bumper. cant say which one is best since i havent seen same car with both set ups on the same dyno. plus long pipe works differently than a short one...again i dont know which is best... then you need a remap as the ecu will cancel any mod but the plenum spacer
  4. you can only get as much air as the filter/pipe allow. its mainly to get cold air in and secondary increase the air flow (a bit)... more air doesnt always mean faster car...more like dry cylinders.... everything within reason
  5. she sounds high maintenance super ultra high maintenance....unless she is that amazing........... ..... i used to give the ex ex the maser and the ex the zed to go to the hairdressers....then we were both v v happy...
  6. get nixy and come to hull for drinks!!!
  7. as above. no way a 313 with that bonnet...it doesnt fit...it has got rays on...unless they are aftermarket its a late 297. owner who doesnt know his car...i doubt they are aftermarket.. check the service book and the clutch m8...he doesnt know his own car!!!!
  8. i bet the reason was that you wouldnt give him the keys....

I have...with that DSG gearbox or whatever it was... i loved it... rapid, amazing engine, good handling, good brakes, fast gearchanges, you can squeeze 4 more in and hi tech...even the seat belt moved forwards for easy access!!! then i had a good look at it from the outside and i thought... nah i am not even 40 yet
  13. Just curious mate, when you wonder the inevitable questions about purpose of life, what do you come to the conclusion of? The problem religiousists have is that they can't grasp how unimportant the human race and earth is in the scheme of things. We are just a mass of carbon/water etc. atoms existing in the blink of an eye (in relative terms) In evolutionary terms our purpose is to reproduce and kill our enemies - like all life forms. When we die we (if lucky) rot and provide food for other life forms. If unlucky we die thrashing and screaming whilst we are devoured alive by our predators (like antelopes or seals for example) That's it. Full stop. Get over it. i am not really convinced about the reality of this cosmos either...it could be just a part of a matrix...and us the pawns...then again we could be a molecule of a table in another world... we think we can think or we really think? maybe we say what we are programmed to say and i posting this post not of choise.... ps edited a typing mistake
  14. Admiral obviously didnt want me as a customer then....wont say what they said or quoted cos even thinking about it winds me up....however they paid me 26 grand for writing off my maserati 2 years ago...
  15. dont spit where you lick ??
  16. Whats the insurance company then? Its just stupid. 2 cars one driver. i cant be driving both of them at the same time...havent evolved that much yet
  17. the theory of energy preservation or whatever the english term is, says exactly that. true and fact in everyday life. nobody has ever managed to unify all 4 energies tho in one whole equation....which means that this may not be exactly a fact in kwantomechanics there are several theories about soul and aura and all sorts that bring barytones into play...who knows.... the truth is out there .... the X files!
  18. I have no doubt that some experiments would reveal the same results whether conducted by a priest, nun or buddhist. But very often we find ourselves fitting results within the paradigm of a theory without exploring it further. The same is done within religion, in theology its called eisegesis, interpreting biblical scripture to fit our own beliefs and our own wants without reading it in the contexts it is written (exegesus) When you say 'hard facts," again this is subject to your own personal opinion, as I have said the water is still very murky regarding evolution, its not an absolute and Im not prepared to drink it. Religion is a human construct inspired by historical and spiritual events and experiences, even though the latter may not be empirical enough for the non believers the historical part is evident enough for us to organise our beliefs upon and live our lives by for those wanting to believe. Now this may be hard to accept for anyone who does not believe but i think the biggest frustration for non believers come when they apply their own formulae to every question, some answers cannot be solved by sticking it under a microscope to review, mine involves faith, but that does not mean Im using it as a cop out to the debate of evolution, I am open to learning and coming from a previous atheistic position my rationalisation of any argument would be fair to say the least. You just need to accept that some people will accept evolution and some wont thats life, if it was a 100% proven then maybe people would be more open to accept it, but until then you have to accept that there is room for alternative views. The only time it becomes a battleground is when one side tries to impose their views onto the other side. I believe in creationism, and right now nothing will change that. You believe in evolution, that is your take on how you came into being and I respect that. Can we leave it at that now? "The voices are telling me I'm not crazy...." now i know what you mean dude! only messing btw....
  19. Haha you think? It was the fact that he couldnt explain it with Newtonian physics that led him to the general theory of relativity. and explaining the photoelectric effect gave him the nobel prize. not the general theory of relativity itself sorry couldnt let it go
  20. same here! i cant have my no claim bonus on both cars... as if i can drive both at the same time!!!!
  21. very interesting thread... unfortunately we tried to find out a bit more about the first few milliseconds after the big bang somewhere deep under Switzerland...only that we didnt as the experiment failed...or is failing so far... for the ones who believe this is god's will for the ones who dont believe something was missed out of the equation i say we are lucky we didnt collapse into a nice black hole in any case i have read a lot of carl sagan, hawkins and the lot and i am lucky to understand most of it as i wanted to be a nuclear physicist and only by a mistake in the equation of my life i became a dentist so what was before and at the time of the big bang is very complicated and involves a totally different conception of time...and time beyond time which means i cant fully and properly understand and explain. 2 things. 1. Newtons theory was a fact until mr einstein decided to dig into the photoelectric effect...and now his theory is a fact 2. I am 30 already which means that according to the statistics and taking into account my bad habits, i v lived about half my life....god save me i dont wanna die that soon!!! then again i dont know my life's equation as i said, this may be my last post I dont believe in facts (god or science) but its so nice to listen to other other people's opinions!
  22. A professor at uni said to me at some point... "tell me what you want to prove and i will tell you how to back it up" There is no doubt that species evolve but genesis is a different story... it involves lets say luck and that is not scientifically acceptable. If we knew all, there would be no need for religion. I can go on in detail about Darwin's theory and the modyfied evolutionary theories that seem more realistic nowadays... but all i know is i dont know and there is nothing worse than talking when you know half the truth so if i was you i would have a right laugh winding her up and nothing else
  23. yes i went through 3 sets of ps2s 40 prof, did a fair few track days with them and had no probs whatsoever with the ESP m8 now i v got 19inch wheels and the rays are getting refurbed and wrapped with 888s for track days as they are so light.
  24. +1. Also work fine with 40 profile. the rays are extremely light. much lighter than any other stock Z rims.
