  1. Very true and I did agree with my mate on that one ... But it's the straight line speed that sparked off the conversation ... He's currently getting a new engine dropped in and wants to test the theory soon though .. LoL If there was money on the drag race i wouldnt bet on the zed even if its a whole second faster to 60. i have missed second gear a few times making a fool of myself. haha where have u been hiding mate? not seen you on this in a while... that happened to me drag racing a 200sx, second time though he got destroyed.. haha i am glad i am not the only one. tweaking the zed m8 and getting ready for donington park on the 10th of september. again with the evo boys
  2. That's what happened with mine (Nismo LSD)! i v got the same issue as well
  3. Blimey my first car - funny enough an escort MkII had a twin webber... the blasted thing had a float problem and after a short to medium drive the copper float would sink and thus over fuel the car and just konk out. I think it may have something to do with the fact it was a 1.6 webber on a 1.3 - not that I fitted it, it was a nuisence. It subsequently turned out the car was actually a cut and shut. Got pulled over by the police where they informed me the only part that was original was the passenger/driver area, the front and back were from totally different cars!! Mine was 1.6 with neon lights, argos stereo amp and speakers, same coilovers from new leather halfords seat covers. haha true with carb. heavy right foot would clog the cylinders easily but a quick drive to ringwood for a bitter always solved the problem... but that B road must be the best road ever. true about the slow traffic but every little T junction is on a blind summit!!! best time is around 5-6 in the morning summer time. there is still time. it worth it

  5. the integra is an amazing weapon nevertheless. modified on a track you dont have to be the stig to be very very quick. unlike the other 2.
  6. your car is secretly fitted with a LSD! haha
  7. The best road ever!!! Had a ford escort 87 with a double carburator when i lived in weymouth...oh happy days... ps that road best not be driven at sunset
  8. just a normal air duct should do the same job. many here have them. mine has got 2 for example. never had any issues with rain...and i v driven in some very hevy rain and a single carriageway going to edinburgh that was more like a lake.
  9. +1. Mine is the same. You can try an exhaust wrap.
  10. Get rid of the badge m8. a guy the other shouted at me...is it a zonda m8??? thats the definition of debadging... no many (especially women) can tell its a 300c then
  11. thanks for your important input then
  12. +1 also its been said its the only mod that wont be canceled by the ecu
  13. Only when its wet ya big wuss obviously...i am not like others (ie alex) that drop the hood down and enjoy the drive
  14. will be at the Caribbean... i remember that chicane where that first lambo crashed...that never lost the back end again since alex showed me the correct line...ta muchly as for the second one...the first thing alex told me...dont go over the curbs...they are very slippery
  15. Something I plan to check out in future...how do you find the alternative final drive? I'm also going to look into the Final Drive also - although next year as I've spent too much money this year. I've been informed by a number of resources the Final Drive is a great mod for acceleration, although take into account your top speed will reduce!! the legal top speed of 70 mph? its an awesome mod and gutted i didnt do it when i had the nismo lsd fitted....but working on it...trying to make up my mind as its 2 set ups you can go for...and tbh as long as i can go flat out to 140mph thats fine. also the HR does 155mph on 5th and the rev limiter. on 6th 165mph for the roadster and it had about 500rpm or so to go...(couldnt exactly keep an eye on the road and pin point the rev needle whilst my amuse diffuser was literally falling off)...that means you have got plenty of top speed to sacrifice
  16. A lot of weight like 200kgr??? Because rims apart (rays are perfectly light) i cant see how you can get the coupe below 1500kgr. Thing is you still want a car drivable every day. you need the air con and the stereo. oh and the door panels. Then add roll bars, thicker sway bars, heavier brakes, bracings, even the adjustable a-arms are heavier than the stock ones. grrrrrr
  17. Talking about seats...thats the best mod!!! if you sell the old seats with airbags and the lots you may even make profit on the new seats and they will look better as well as saving you about 40kilos. On a 300bhp car that means 7.5bhp more....and you make a profit! plus better cornering and braking
  18. yes m8 2 intakes. its nothing unless you go FI. ok for small lotuses and stock m3s on the track but the zed is a heavy mofo. i v been destroyed by 240Zs, 300SXs, old rusty gtrs and the lot on sheer acceleration. +1 on martin I agree the zed is flipping elephant. I've gone along the way losing weight whilst adding weight at the same time. I'd be interested in seeing what weight the car is now. I also +1 to a track day it would be a good meet up and fairly safely test the zeds Only way to save some serious weight is to get rid of the seats and go for some recaros or smth. everything else weighs less than a good meal really The HR is good for about 500bhp on stock guts while the DE is good for about 420 or so. still talking about 12+k to be done properly. Track day with novices and experienced drivers trying to prove a point no thanks.
  19. Talking from experience as i v done track days on 18s and 050As and 19s with the same tyres. Mind you my 19s are twice as heavy as the rays.
  20. yes m8 2 intakes. its nothing unless you go FI. ok for small lotuses and stock m3s on the track but the zed is a heavy mofo. i v been destroyed by 240Zs, 300SXs, old rusty gtrs and the lot on sheer acceleration. +1 on martin
  21. the other zeds (300's) are bonkers would be a good laugh too much competition causes accidents... i really think the 18s suit the Zed better performance-wise. waiting for comments from track day enthusiasts. ps this thread looks hijacked
  22. fat ones dont really m8...they are just more expensive they last a bit longer though IME That said maybe so...but that was before i get them big nike tuned air trainers
