  1. or have a look here. http://www.350z-tech.com/zwiki/Part:Lim ... ferentials
  2. +1. if you try it a few more times your windscreen washers wont work either
  3. Phew thanks greekman, i was getting a little carried away... lol.. And dont worry, I confuse myself on a daily basis.. The TTS just wouldnt suite the track imo. Its steering feel is numb, and the handling is very floaty. I love the car for what it does, but I want some RWD car control. Nothing beats turning in those front wheels and putting power on. Understeer is a horrible feature of the TTS, much worse than the R32 which suprised me. Plus i couldnt let anything happen to the TTS as its the most expensive car ive owned. BUMP, Back down to earth!! Soooo I will be keeping the 350z relatively stock, and it will get to a track about 2/3 times a year.... I want to keep it on the road so no slicks or stripped interior... I didnt get the 350z just for a track toy, I got it for some RWD action and a car me and the mrs can enjoy. Ultimately if the 350 shows the TT up.. it will be bye bye Audi, although im a bit of a DSG slut and have found myself only looking at autos recently!!! Hopefully the 350z will show me the error of my ways. lol Ive definately been hit with new car giddiness!! ha.. cool! you ll still get understeer as thats the Zed's default set up. in order to change that there are 3 ways. (just adjusting the psi wont do much and will knacker your tyres) -cheapest way good front-crap rear tyres. -about £500 way front a-arms and to add a bit more camber. front tyres wont be very happy tho. -starting from a 1k ish (for cheapo stuff less) adjustable coilovers. drop the front a bit more than the rear or make the front stiffer than the rear. then cambers will be messed up and as a result tyres all over wont be very happy. and you ll have to add option no2 at a later time. even for the odd 2-3 track days budget for brakes, lines, fluid in advance. unless you go round the track like a nanny even the brembos wont be up for it. and if you are on a standard clutch put over half a K away for a clutch/fly too. i am not being clever. i am only trying to help. i bought mine in 2008 for 33k and i v spent well over that already modifying it and taking it on track days. thats a GTR black edition with insurance and service for 2 years and spare change for a decent runabout
  4. i am getting mixed up from your posts m8 for a start welcome. if you only wanna do a couple of quiet track days a year the a stock zed is good. and your tts even better. but why not get a used elise for even more fun? if you want a dedicated track car and you say you cant afford suspension brakes and the lot then dont even think about the zed. cos it will need brakes and pads after a couple of days...and tyres and clutch and lots of other bits and bobs. wear and tear on the track!!! and then corsas and pugs and mx-5s etc etc will start driving laps around you and you wont be happy. and their track day will be costing them a fraction of yours...and thats if you are lucky and dont run out of gravel. a modified zed is good fun on the track...but expensive fun.
  5. i v got the nismo and so far had no issues with the clutch/flywheel. its 1.5/2 way but for track use you need it on 1.5. 2 is for drifting. its also adjustable and can be done without dismantling the whole thing. its very easy and takes about 10mins. 60-80-100%. 100% on the road is unbearable! 60% with redline juice with friction modifier you ll get the odd pop even at relatively wide corner and slow speeds but you can live with it. the confidence and adjustability it gives you is fantastic. Very good on track as well. you can nail the throttle mid corner no probs. real problems. - it a total tyre eater...and you dont need to drift your car...just a few t-junctions will do the job...think of half your rear tyre life and you wont be far off. - messes up the ESP. i has to be off for safe negotiation with roundabouts...esp in the wet. - unsettles the car a bit when it pops at low speeds. it only makes the ride uncomfortable and not dangerous. if you took the same corner at a decent speed and not pottering about it wouldnt have popped in the first place. i cant comment on any other lsd. maybe better ones out there. but comparing the stock viscous to the nismo i would never look back. then again i am a bit of a masochist
  6. I did m8. Chelsea won yesterday Panathinaikos was tragic today The rats managed to beat Valencia ffs
  7. i wont reply to your opinion about my post either but for a leeds run let me know...and if you can get the night off we may have an 'incident' at the garage and have to stay over for the night
  8. question is simple. no need for faffing! why he wants it off is his problem and nobody else's i think. everybody has his own limits but car manufactures play it on the safe side. we all modify our cars in any way we pretty much like but we dont necessarily make them safer to drive!!! ie. -how many of us have ridiculously wide wheels? then again we get heavy rain most days of the year. -how many of us have nankangs and falkens on? they are proven to be bad/average in the wet. we can all post but when smbd asks a question asks a question. he doesnt and shouldnt be preached about safety, driving skills and the lot. one point is that the ESP may come on way before the cars limit making the drive from uncomfortable to very snappy. needless to say that sometimes it can be dangerous, entering a roundabout from stand still if it starts kicking in and you are just stood there looking at the approaching polish lorry on the right!!! ie -after i had my lsd fitted the ESP HAS to be off. once off its obvious that the car is not going anywhere at all. -use wrong rolling radious on the wheels and the same happens. now to the point. i dont know how you could possibly do it Vale. But give RS tuning in Leeds a buzz and Paul (i think its Paul) will tell you if it can be done. Plus its just a 45min drive there dont think of going for the racelogic cos then the procedure is turn engine on -> press ESP button off -> wait for racelogic to boot -> turn round button a million times till it passes 25% and gives you the option turn ESP off -> press down round button. Bloody nightmare ps if you do it a friday avo let me know and we ll go there together as i wanna put my car on the dyno again oh i wont reply on anybody's opinions!
  9. went through a few sets of 45s and 40s when i had the rays on. now using 40s 888s on them with no probs. 45s are stupidly dearer than the 40s but they fill the arch better unless you lower the suspension.
  10. i just got a spacer for the oil sump. ANd how hot does it get? dont know how hot but that needle next to the fuel gauge stays put where it should be...regardless of the laps on the track cant see why anybody would need to make any changes anyway just for the odd track day
  11. if you have 40 at the front as well you should be fine. i had no probs at all with 45 at the front dont do it. i know the 45s will be about £50 more but your ESP/TCS will go mad otherwise
  12. i just got a spacer for the oil sump.
  13. totally feel for you m8. nissan customer service is the worst ever!!! if it makes you feel any better last 2 times i visited nissan-halshaw in hull the courtesy car they gave me was a micra with full logos all over from £5999 and that. i said no i am not advertising you. get me a taxi! and never going there again either from now on. or any nissan. thanks. thats for a 2 year old Zed that cost me a bit over 33k!!! for a 5 year old maserati that cost me 31k, JCT600 in leeds would send a bmw 320d mpack (1 year old) with a driver in hull, pick my car up from work and leave me the courtesy car. the opposite if i couldnt bother driving to leeds to pick the maser up! once they came and met me at the car park of the pub i was at the time sipping a pint!!!!! as for the mechanics at nissan i wont comment. i got paid £1500 of them for messing up with my brakes last time!!!
  14. lmao... first time last week.... a friend of mine after finishing from college (hairdressing course) went out with another girl from college (both of them over 20!!!)...rang me when they went to sugar mill (night club)...so i just drove round...parked just outside and a drink later we decided to move on... they both fitted in...and they are both over 5.5'... only issue was that the smoking area is outside the club....we could hear them cheering us even from around the block!!!
