  1. The Greekman does cool down laps? ...I don't believe it How are the Dixcel holding up mate? he does ALL of the above plus much more...you v got to be there to believe the dixcels have done great so far although its skimming time now and the dixcel pads made just 1 track day...ish... havent been on a track in ages...car is in and out garages now... more from june on
  2. 'ring??? v v dangerous if you are new to it m8. as for the oil i really dont know... expense-wise if you add tyre wear, break wear, clutch wear, etc etc its v v expensive. you v got a zed...if you want it to be cheap get a pug 205 my way of thinking is dont feel sorry for it...hammer it!!!
  3. Basically keep the traction control on and dont be too proud... warm up and cool down lap, helmet, racing line, keep an eye on the marshals, always check mirrors and let faster ones overtake you, do a few laps get to know the track and then build up speed, overtake on straights from the left and once your brakes/tyres feel overheated slow down. 35 psi on normal air will be too much esp on a hot day...about 30 cold should do...if pushing too hard 25 maybe...then again if you fill up with nitrogen 35 is fine enjoy it m8 its good fun
  4. Very good write up mate +1 Many years of dedicated greco-roman wrestling training (no8 in greece) and currently black belt level at judo. both excellent forms of exercise but not really recommended as self defense sports... plus lots of injuries and it takes a long time before you actually manage to get used to the mentality of the sport. did 2 years of kick boxing and found it much easier to get used to moving around decently. as purely exercise wrestling was amazing in terms of strength stamina and body figure. judo less of the above but more every day usable as a martial art, kick boxing even less so of the above but gives you loads of confidence and ample move. however, after 15 years of training i think that the best form of self defense is the 200 meter sprint ...plus less injuries whilst training seriously now, after 15 years i know very well that avoiding trouble is the way...there is always someone out there that will fill you in not to mention daggers, guns and stuff. do it as an exercise not as self defense... thats from experience
  5. i was test driving the new set up nixy... they were following me... and i was waving you all the way!!!!
  6. Come on mate enter the Euro?! It's a flawed currency and some economists see very little in terms of future for it. It's a good job we never entered it and for all I care they can keep it. As for the EU, there are no benefits for us, it's a joke. erm ok. as i said above i am driving to greece and back without bothering with the maths and personally i wont care even if petrol goes up to £3/lt... just thinking of most people who now pay 60% more to go on holidays, buy more expensive cars, pay more for petrol, tvs, computers, fuit and veggies, etc etc then again if you v got a factory here yes sales will go well....but how many of us have? and yes if sales go well then whoever has that factory will employ more staff...but from what i see no matter what its more profitable to move the factory to india and ship over to england on euros or dollars... then again whats the percentage of the population that is affected by lets say a 100-200 quid a month more expensive living? i really think its much much more than the percentage that isnt (or have got a factory)...why are we stuck with the pound? now lets start debating on education, mass media, government propaganda etc etc... as i said..."frankly my dear i dont give a dime" and tbh as it is now pound all the way...if it goes up again then maybe euro but it wont!!!
  7. going to greece and back late july in the zed... but i am not doing the maths...i lust dont want to know.... as for the pound to euro thing 4 years ago it was £1 to 1.6 euro... if we had entered the euro.... for the ones that are stuck in the head just keep looking at the queen's face on the 20 pound notes and pretend its 32 euros really...
  8. +1 roadster aaaaaaaaaaaaaall the way dude.... it may not be 700whp but your coupe wont be either...you dont buy it for practicality or you would be buying a focus c-max... its the fun factor that matters... nismo exhaust...hood down and merry sideways!!!
  9. correct me if i am wrong but the reading starts from about 1500 revs? should it not start from around 800 and show that the car produces a bit more power at 1500 revs than what it does? apart from that it looks quite good.
  10. nope....press and keep pressed and it locks so that it cant be deactivated unless you restart the engine. as for the big daddy and braking comments many people say all sorts happen with the esp off but i have done a good few track days and with the traction control off you can easily snog the a tyre wall or try your wrc skills off the track I think the most usless piece if kit on your Z my friend is the Traction control, I bet your never driver with it on from day 1. Well you wouldn't think so with the amount of tyres you killed in just short of 2 years. Nope that is not true...always on on motorway trips and heavy rain...i am scared of aquaplaning for anything else needs to be off...especially after i changed to fidanza and exedy fly/clutch...mind you a racelogic tc is here ready to go on the car

  12. mine did the same..... you have to keep that button press for aaaaaaaaaaaaaages... what on earth made you do that??? i am gonna try it on every button in the car now
  13. man i am telling ya...i can reset the ecu waiting at certain traffic lights!!!!
  14. "Although I am debating on which is more important, a new sofa or NOS?" i really cant see the point of the question m8 you prob get something till the engine bay gets too hot...and after a few days the ecu will adapt and you ll be getting nothing...and then you ll reset the ecu and it will feel all good again...and you ll keep doing that till you go for a remap or an aftermarket ecu
  15. It makes you cringe every time you hear that scraping noise, i found it funny that it just made you speed up even more matey!!!! you are here!!!! cant wait to see you and your sick zed!!!
  16. did have a look m8 but didnt find anything...all sorted now anyway cant wait for the wales run....i ll have the bestest, meanest and fastest (on a track) Zed!!!! and thats not only because of the coilovers
  17. true...but i v got a full gt spec bracing under the car...30 waaaaaay too low!!!! 20-25 at best...thanks for the input anyway Looks like the Welsh roads are being regraded in May Haha man last year i was knocking the cat's eyes at the evo triangle...still remember marks face and that was without the bracing

  19. They say "righty tighty lefty loosey" so clockwise means stiffer. The best way is to just start from halfway between hardest and softest and decide which direction to go after driving a nice A or B road to form your impressions. to create a neutral handling car or slightly oversteery, it is a complex interplay of adjusting bump, rebound, ride height, antiroll bar stiffness, presures etc. So you will achieve this to varying degreee depending on how much adjustability you have in your set up. But as a general rule: The following trends will apply in most cases, there can be exceptions to some of these. Generally changes should be made one at a time, in small steps. I found this guide really helpful http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Racing_setup excellent!!!! now what should the ride height be so that the centre of gravity and the roll centre occupy the same space???
  20. coilovers measured and ready! many thanks last question...how many turns on the allen key? currently totally unscrewed...what happens when you turn it clockwise from now on? i like the ride nice and firm and the car neutral if not slightly oversteery...
  21. Ready to go on the Zed but the manual is in bl**dy japanese!!!! Googled and searched in here but didnt find anything....anybody has the manual in english???
