did you measure the discs? might just need a bit of resurfacing done to them, to get the groves out that was matched to the old pad set. Don't think they're warped mate.

My brakes To be honest don't know, I'd try out the EBC's if you're not tending to do trackday's and mad driving. What pads are you planning on using? I'd go for full EBC setup and see how you get on dude. Not to expensive to change them to something else. Found the EBC pads *yellow fine for normal driving, once heated up they went crappy though. Think trackpig runs Yellowstuff on his for track, not sure how he's managing it, might be his cooling ducts I'm dying to try out my carbontech pads that I got made for the Z with a otherwise Brembo setup (braided lines)

Think people on here has found the EBC to be a bit crap for the Z, dont know myself but if you're intending on working the car hard I'd look for something a bit more upmarket
