  1. ^ I got that one above, be careful though. I've not checked it against the 350z with the full version yet so don't know 100% that all the stuff works, it's a volvo wagon that it seems to do most things on. Mine is a JDM too so might be different, you need to confirm with someone using the full version and a bluetooth dongle on a uk z. from what I've read and seen it should be fine, well worth the <20£ it'll cost to get you going. DO get a high powered charger for the car tough, it'll suck out the battery of the phone otherwise. Like this: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Micro-Dual-USB-Ca ... 2034wt_934
  2. yeah you could sit in the garden having a pint while the person sits in the car idling away
  3. Saw somewhere it existed for iphone, possible not looked on the website and cant see any references. maybe it used to be there?
  4. CAN bus would be rated a bit faster so that would be the way to go.
  5. Not sure it works under windows. But that's about right. I'm interested in the afr even if its slow you can log it and check it later.
  6. in the first post what does PID stand for? guessing it's like a MIB in networking monitoring terms, it pools the ecu for information on those locations and it gives data back.
  7. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ELM327-OBD2-OBDII ... 582wt_1010 58min to go and very low start bid
  8. you able to check if it can do the AFR? Pretty sure it doesn't but i'll have a look with the custom PIDs added
  9. Blocks I cant afford blocks!!! Your not old enough to shave use tyres, work too. The other statement is just a statement If I needed to shave then well I'd want to be able to do it looking at the polished plenum
  10. ok. you hook a little box into your car (where dealers put a reader into under the steering wheel) then you hook this box up onto your smartphone via bluetooth, install the torque app in the market (andrpoid) I got the paid version. you can then add loads of gauges on your smartphone that can monitor different aspects of your cars data that the ecu collects. CAn read and reset CEL lights too. and do more nice things drinks battery though so best be is to get a 1amp usb charger for the cig lighter.
  11. next time I wanna see a photo of that car up on blocks and nothing left also want to see that plenum polished so I can shave looking at it
  12. Been using this app a bit (not on the Z much). Got the fully paid version using a bluetooth dongle from ebay. Well spent monies so far. Just wondering if anyone here know what data you can read from the Z (full version) and if any of the below PIDs work. PIDS that work out of the box with Torque: Load Fuel Level RPM Intake Temp Intake manifold pressure(in kPa) Coolant Temp Vacuum/Boost Gauge Barometric Pressure Mass air flow rate(in g/s not voltage) Throttle Position Timing Advance(Works, at WOT shows near 0 degrees. Yay stock tune!) Enhanced PIDs you have to manually enter Long name & short name can be whatever you want. I tried to stick to conventional names. LTFT Long Term Fuel Trim? 14. 'don't knock it before you try it' I never believed in such jumbo bumbo, but I no longer from heyfever so ... well...
  15. http://www.allergy.org.uk/hayfever.htm it works, get down to one of those places on a friday afternoon, get some remedy jar... spend saturday and possibly sunday sneezing every 10 seconds (wrecks you) then it'll get better, after 6-12 months you'll never get it back again. win - win. well worth it IMO. (close thread)
  16. told you what you needed to do mate, just do it.
  17. Can you explain that again to me? I don't get it. Do you feel like a pain when you spoke to mark or what? Cost cost please spill

  19. Only... He's got an Aps tuned z himself so should be sweet getting it setup there, you going for built engine or plan on using standard internals? I did not use the piggyback solution that comes with the kit, out of interest how much are they charging for fitting and tune?
  20. Good man, that's the place I got my kit from
  21. My kit seem to be fitting both to be honest, the manual talks about the difference at some parts and the electric stuff is fitting both. Not sure about exhaust but can ask the guy fitting it, guessing that the steering MIGt mess it up as ian said, might also be different between the new and old kit. Best bet would be to either mail Aps or compare the install manuals or listen to Ian :-)
  22. looks real well something for me to strive for will be hard though since the ssv plenum I got...
  23. At least it went in flames instead of crushed into small pieces...
