  1. Just a guessing game but if I have say a 350Z with built motor APS TT kit (garrett ball bearing t's) with boost @ 8psi delivering 270WHP @ 4000RPM what will this baby do at 7200RPM with 10PSI / 12PSI respectively ? This is me dreaming btw
  2. look into a TT setup maybe?
  3. had the same issue at about the times stated above, will keep an eye.
  4. http://youtu.be/1Yo80Bm8L7w like the cleaning this guy did, never used soap though *used brake fluid only. Like that tool, might invest in one. Used to take a cloth and a plier instead (dont scratch anything) Id check that your pistons are moving freely mate, sounds like you should invest in some good discs though.
  5. Cant comment about the MOT but you shouldn't go under the limit of the discs themselves. I use brake fluid to clean the pistons myself. I push them out as mush as I need (as long as they're dirty) then clean with a cloth and brake fluid. Just make sure they move properly in and out and inspect the seals. Did you take any photos of the discs? (did you check that the brake fluid reservoir isnt to full after you pushed the pads in?)
  6. look like something cover something electrical...

  9. Just a quick Q in relation to you replacing the pads, where they REALLY worn down? Did you clean the caliper pistons before slotting in the new pads and pushing the pistons further in the caliper? Did you check that all the pistons move freely? Having cleaned a good few bike pistons of calipers in the past, they more then likely will need to be cleaned properly since most often they don't move the same. For instance one piston might apply on the brake pad first...

    Coils, 06 Engine,

top man Zman hoping to have them at destination as quick as possible!
  11. They look like EBC type discs, best of luck with it. There 'must' be a give (quality) in something if you can get a full set front and rear with pads for that price.

    Coils, 06 Engine,

Guess what Anders Preowned in stock and possibly new ones as well. Alex. should have known
  13. Hey lads, need two coils for a 06 engine... urgently Anyone got some lying around? Cheers Anders
  14. So dba cheap option is 345£ and pricey option 550£ and granny discs from ebc are 200£, not much in it really so unless someone comes on and state the ebc are the dogs I'd probably go dba myself. Best match a good set of pads though. Yellow pads are pretty aggressive...
  15. Just understand what my car was like with JDM brakes and yellowpads... IMO the brake setup is very personal and unless your pushing the car around the place you dont need to go out and spend monies on an 'expensive' brake setup. Be prepared to by cheap and by twice though. EBC are used all over the place, even seen it on a few race bikes! * Alex, again if your driving the Z as a normal car you wont need any heavy upgrade to the brakes IMO. (read the signature though) Again if you track the car, a decent setup is recommended and IMO (again) Yellowstuff pads and brembo's can't take the heat on the track I use. *not sure I'd recommend the latter
  16. My advice is to speak to ebc disc drivers and see what they say, my opinion is if you're not going for mad heat laps around the track you'll be fine with lower price stuff. You might need to change more often though. My jdm setup with ebc was fine for road. More then 2 hard breakings before cooling down was a no no, its all down to what you do and drive. I hated the setup. Brembo is a step up but no where close great for me. Hoping these pads can take some more heat. Think the z should have had a bbk from factory! Currently looking it either wilwood or stoptech, leaning towards the later...
  17. At least it gets it off our server and keeps the forum running fine OR you lot just dont post big pics and everyone is happy as the forum runs fine I wouldn't recommend any members to start using IRC, unless you're nicely protected against all kinds of vulnerabilities out there.
  18. Would not be the safest chat form known to man, wouldn't advice using that.
