  1. cheap ass oil catch can I think. (and that I then gave it to my mech for free... )
  2. would possibly be interested if they come sprayed (will know once I start butchering my oem one)
  3. what's the ETA for this build now? guessing that'll be ready for spring? (no point in have 1k hp during the winter months... )
  4. glad you're getting some movement on this mate, to be honest. Once inside the car you can't actually see the colour Hope it sell for you. And it stays on the forum. note: for the people on here drooling at this, it's almost Christmas... it would be an AWESOME Christmas present!
  5. Omg just done a schematic of my current setup (below) ^ that's obviously arseways, thank you for installing it that way... This is the way it should be: So just hoping that mr nogood has kept my spares in the bag so I can yet again rectify another thing not right... (thanks Ian for the pointers) What is the actual impact on this?
  6. Doesnt most trackdays that arent open pitlane have a one lap warmup? usually a sighting lap. No great speed and not enough to get heat into tyres etc. My tyre pressures were set at 35psi before going on track and after 8 laps the were at 42psi on one side and 40 on the other. Best solution is to nitrogen fill. Cheap and an easy fix and helps on normal motorway journeys etc. mmm nitrogen thats a tad overkill IMO. Ill keep track on my pressures I just need a good baseline (cold setting to work on, Im guessing the sides will be all over the place so best bring my air compressor for the ride home!)
  7. Doesnt most trackdays that arent open pitlane have a one lap warmup?
  8. I would keep lowering the pressure... Would like to know what to have on pe 50 on 18.
  9. god job, freaky mask.... You wouldnt have more photos of your engine looking down at it from above?
  10. omg, wtf in the fck name has he been at ?
  11. ok the donkey doing this install had at least 1 litre of vodka before he installed it, it's arseways and needs fixing...
  12. sort out that last photo... need to compare the one install I got.
  13. thats my setup... think it's the left blue pipe...
  14. cheers guys, to make it harder to see the pipes now go into my catch can from ARC... not sure how that will tie into things either
  15. http://image.modified.com/f/18991587/mo ... ne_bay.jpg found it, left side behind the left timing cover...
  16. I can't figure out where this part goes on my engine, the photo gives little away on where it might be. I could prolly thrawl through 100 pages manual to find it but wondering if someone has the answer to hand? got a different plenum on and just can't make out where this is...
  17. Think I'll do it again this year... was great craic last year
  18. I disagree, blow your tyres up to a high pressure they will ballon in the middle of the tread due to the flexibility of the tread carcass. That's why when your tyres pressure's climb high the call will over heat the centre of the tyre more. A RWD car will work the rear tyres harder than the front tyres, that's why I say remove more pressure from the rears, and to be 100% correct you may need to remove a little more from the left front as this will work harder than the right front. I have worked in Motorsport for over 15 years so i do know a little about car set up. Cool thanks for that How do you keep adjusting the pressure as you go along during the day? It was easy on a bike with only two tires but a car has four and the corners behave differently. Would like to know what to keep on a 18" rays with P50's , I think it's probably going to be pretty cold on the track too.
  19. IS THAT ALL YOU DID! What did you clean the calipers with? Do you have 4 jacks? (I see no jack stands... ) Looks good, was there braided lines installed too? (saw some in the photos) looks to be a good fit either way! Well done, hope he bedded in them
  20. I'm as member in one I'll get the details. I use generic biker ones. edit: http://www.r6-forum.com/
  21. Thats OK for a pressure sensor - temp needs to be in the flow! and TPI is threads per inch not pitch and you won' t do it with a ruler http://www.roton.com/identify_threads.aspx
