hmm Insurance company of the petrol station called me today and said their assessor had told them that it clearly states ' the car need to be in the correct posistion in the car wash'... eeh the fecking thing started even though I clearly wasn't in the correct position!... Was told that's how carwashes work... Now It's down the harder route... pain in the arse and it's FRIDAY! gaaah.
Why= the funnel creates a better airflow through the intake tubing to the TB.
(Going to get a funnel ring from / to a baswoofer!)
I'm still so amazed!
A
I'm so amazed at this, am I the only one that can't understand that the ONLY difference between the pre 06 box and the 06+ box is the below 'funel' looking item? And it gives gains of 10hp when tuned (up to even 4-5hp is amazing!)
Could I get just the ring and see these increases?! I'm just so baffled about the whole thing! Imagine me posting a post saying that a change in the ring on the intake airbox will give you 4-5 hp and it will cost you a tenner?! I'd be laughed out of it. So confused that the standard (STANDARD) airbox is the best one! That none of the other companies out there has been able to better themselves and see similar gains etc. Well I think I've just decided to keep my old box and makeup the addtional piece (somehow) and then replace the intake tubing to something longer (heard it increase torq)
Can someone explain WHY it increases the HP?
Goodnight....
FYI a 03 fetched (3 checked)
9800 EURO
11200 EURO
and one didn't sell... Seems like the YEN is picking up or the prices in general over in japan are increasing.
Just in case you're interested...
When you say your Z throws back quite a lot of oil - do you mean you are burning oil?
No not burning... well its burning when it goes into the intake chamber down to the pistons and mixing with the air before combusting on the top of the piston.
Sorry, I am still not sure what you mean when you say it throws back oil - the thread mentions the throttle body getting dirty and the comment "your Z throws back oil" was made. If it throws back oil to the throttle body then it will be burning it along with the air and fuel and you will be having to top up the oil level. The only other explanation I can see is that it is your crankcase breather is venting into the inlet manifold/plenum. Unless this is blocked or restricted in some way you should not be getting any oil in the plenum or the throttle body.
it's the breather on either the plenum side or the air intake side that's throwing some oil back into the air mixture.
Mine has a bit of a problem with the left hand side valve cover (leaking a bit) too.
Thought it was a normal thing with the Z to be honest....
