  1. Mate! Gutted you've sold up, will there be replacement or will just have the van? Hope you'll still be popping into meets.
  2. Ha ha, glad I'm not the only one with this guilty little secret! Trying to crack Formula No One but am useless on the ice track!
  3. I'm sure I read that most modern engines effectively leave the factory pre-run in. But you should still take it easy for the first few hundre miles because every component on the car needs time to 'bed in'. Just don't drive like a tw@t for the first 1,000 miles and I'm sure you'll be fine.
  4. Great story rabbitstew, properly lol'd at that!
  5. This car is registered as an 09, but has no bonnet bulge. Smells fishy to me...... http://www.motorpoint.co.uk/VehicleAdve ... 50Z/323200
  6. I may get shot down for this, but really don't see the point of having a shed unless you need four seats or do hyper mileage. The Zed is great car but its no fezza or lambo, its a cheap fun Japanese sports car. If you plan to keep it forever and in pristine condition then fair enough, buy for the rest of us just drive it as much as possible and enjoy it!
  7. Wow, that's got to be some kind of remap record for the VQ35DE engine. It might be worth posting the dyno plot on this thread as I suspect some would be quite skeptical of that figure. Good lukc with the sale, lovely looking car.
  8. Actually I think you're the one being rude. I think Ekona's posts were pretty restrained considering. I doubt many people on a 350z forum are going to be experts on BMW tyre pressures, i'm sure there are BMW forums if you took the time to search.
  9. BMW have a better idea of the best tyre pressures for your car than you do.
  10. Setting off shortly, i'll see you guys there! Can't even begin to describe how excited I am!
  11. That wikipedia list doesn't seem to have enough wet times on it. I suspect that's why some cars seem slower than you would expect.
  12. Watched Gran Turino last night. Always had a soft spot for Amerian muscle
  13. Total and utter d!ck, hate the way he looks down his nose at everyone and everything.
  14. That video is brilliant, his best so far! Monkey on the ladder is mental!
  15. Looks fantastic mate, bet you aren't missing the Zed in the slightest now!
  16. I managed to add scorpion for the exhaust and FCM motorsport for the garage but on the dyno page it won't let me add a garage.
  17. When I tired it said I didn't have authorisation.
  18. Please could you add: Scorpion Exhaust Surrey Rolling Road (use a Dyno Dynamics Dynamometer)
  19. Nice to meet you briefly yesterday Bry. Cracking results on the Up Rev, you must be well chuffed.
  20. So, had a successful trip down to Horsham today. Good to meet the guys at Horsham, very happy with the work they did on my car. Would certainly use them again, especially if they were a bit closer to Bristol! Had the all important remap. Came out unmapped as just over 270bhp which is a fair bit down on what Nissan quote but I suspect that is the case with most manufacturers. After the remap came out as smack on 290 bhp which is a good 15+ bhp gain. So how does the car compare? Well with the plenum spacer and lower MREV2 it sounds noticeably throatier, especially at low revs. After the remap it also feels a bit sharper and nimbler, although I would disagree with statements I've read on here before about it transforming the car. It's certainly an improvement, and turns a great car into a slightly greater car, but its not as dramatic as some might have you believe. So in summary my car now sounds faster and goes faster so I'm happy. If you're thinking of getting a remap I think its certainly worth £400, but I wouldn't expect it to turn your car into a fire breathing monster. Also a big thanks to Charles at B2 Auto Designs for supply the spacer and MREV2, and ZMANALEX for supplying the spark plugs. Next job new wheels!
  21. So I'm off to Horsham tomorrow afternoon to get a plenum spacer fitted, lower MREV2 and new spark plugs. Oh and the all important remap of course! Will post up how I get on, here's hoping for some decent gains.
