    MOT

I need to sell my Amuse rear lower valance quickly, to get some funds!!! Apart from the car needing its annual servive and MOT, i Just had my renewal for my insurance and they want nearly £800 Considering i'm 43 and have 9 yrs no claims bonus, (although i did have 3 claims in 3 years, one non fault, second due to vandalism and the third for a 5mph rear end shunt which ended up with the third party claiming for whiplash. claims were in my other cars) i've only got 3 points for speeding as well. Last year i paid a little over £600 which i thought was reasonable, but this year i was hoping for less than £500. They are taking the p*ss, i'll be searching on the weekend for a better deal thats for sure.
  2. easy enough to change the pads yourself. Once you take the wheels off you are half way there
  3. I remember on my P3 last year i told Nissan not to change the oil as it was only done the day before,so they knocked over 60 quid off the bill. If i take it to them for the service i'll ask them to put my oil in and see how much they charge. I normally get the oil changed every 3,000 miles by kwikfit who only charge me £40 for fully synthetic mobil, but i've bought some oil from Opie's and kwikfit want £30 to change inc filter using my oil.
  4. Standard manual box and flywheel in mine, so maybe it was down to different rolling radius on wheels. ??
  5. My brake fluid reservoir overflowed when i changed my brakes. So i filled a bucket of hot water with plenty of car shampoo, and poured it around the reservoir. It naturally drained away and the area was spotless afterwards. I did panic though
  6. I was quoted £176 for a p1 at a dealer near me (Bridgend). A bit mean of them not to use your oil
  7. Cheers Gar, will let you know what day i can get off.
  8. Some awesome tunnels on the way to the Nurburgring too. Can't wait to take my car through them, hopefully in October
  9. Oops, just realised that i've already booked this on the other side. Weather is looking promising so i will be there.

Good luck both. That reminds me, my car is due an mot next week as well, wish me luck
  13. I upgraded from a type R to the Z as did many others on here. Its a natural step up in sports car ownership
  14. I would, ask how much it costs first, or save a few pounds and do it yourself or a local mechanic. Its pretty easy to change and at the same time you could change the oil in the diff as well!! Nissan uses Castrol Syntax 75/90 for both gearbox and diff.
  15. No serious issues with the Z. Engine being Jap is pretty much bulletproof, not like that german hairdressers car you've got there
  16. To be honest i wouldn't pay more than 14.5 grand for it.. What pi**ed me off about all this was the fact that it was offered back to the previous owner for a lot more than he bought it for!!! Fair enough that the new owner is looking for a quick profit on a really nice car, but he shouldn't of done that, under the circumstances he was just rubbing salt into old wounds. This is entirely my own opinion rant over If someone wants it that bad then they will pay the asking price.
  17. Thanks for that, i'll try and pop it in soon. My only problem is i'm working during the week, so saturdays are the only time i've got free. Unless i book a day off next week. Are you there next week, and would it be possible to speak directly to you?
  18. I may go to this. Its a fair trek for me, and its 20 bucks a ticket so it depends on the weather. Does look a great day out
  19. if i haven't already done so. I bet you're happy that you joined now
  20. What took you so long Robin? By the way thats a bargain
  21. When you remove the calipers, the disc will pull off easily. These are the easiest brakes i've ever done on all the cars i,ve had.
  22. Its a totally straight forward job Bru. The pistons just slide back into the calipers with a bit of brute force. £40 is a good price too.
