Great update, can't say I'm surprised by the new shell arriving. Both me and my wife really want a real mini however the rust (and price of sorted ones) scares the hell out of me!

I'd go for these two personally. Check the wheelnuts are tight, check the tyre sizes and direction, check and correct the pressures. Then you can look at sensors. Is it a selection of right handers or is it only one? What does the car do there with the TC off?

You are like me! I was hiring a car ages ago and just took the smallest one. It was a 107/C1/Aygo. The guy offered me an upgrade to a Fiesta. No thanks mate, I'd rather have the fizzy tin box. Thought I was mad. Took the little thing and thought it was ace fun, something I doubt I'd have said in a 1.2 fiesta. I like driving odd ball cars.

I was at uni. Heard it had happened obviously but didn't know the scale of things. Went straight to work and we had about 5 customers the whole night as opposed to the 200 that was normal. It was only when I got home that I saw what had actually happened. I've been to the site twice, once about 9 years ago when on a lads holiday in NY and once with my missus. It really is a moving place, even with construction going on.

I got heaps. One day I let them do their thing. They knew all about my accident (crashtra) so I let them give me an estimate for my damages..... I said I wasn't injured but the guys said I'd still be entitled. Let him go on and on. I then told him I was standing beside the car and I wasn't in it. Never received another call from any company!

I'd be looking at a facelifted one though. The 996 is cheaper for a reason though especially the early ones!
