Yes at present it shows birthdays - so you can wish people many happy returns if you want May look to remove the birthdays from the events to de clutter it. With the number of members we have, there wont be many days without birthdays

There is now a new link at the top right of the forum which will take you to the Events Calendar. A nice yellow coloured "Calendar" button. Regional Meets Organisers, Moderators and Admins can create calendar events, all members can view the events. You can display month, week or single day at a time. Currently, Meets show as blue on the calendar, and Shows will be displayed in red. When an event is added, a link to a relevant thread can be included to direct members to the appropriate place for discussing the particular event. Hopefully this should allow regional meets organisers and arrange any of their meets around other meetings or national shows. Im hoping to get a set of simple instructions out to those with th ability to add events to the calendar, but its not the most difficult of things to master, just pick Meet or Show and set it to public viewing so everyone can see your posted event. There are a few Shows and meets already populated, but the regional meets organisers should add any arranged meets now Any questions / fedback gladly welcomed below on this thread.

As we need a minimum 10 cars for a club stand, the discount can be applied to the +1's for the first 10 members that sign up. -
Sounds like something that can be worked on, but we have to be careful not to have to many specific areas for specific types of discussion, otherwise we run the risk of the forum becomin overly complex, not to mention a nightmare to moderate trying to keep all posts in the right section. That said, a motorsports section encompasing motorsport discussion as well as any track day write ups etc could be looked into.

Actually, Ive just realised this clashes with a Lincolnshire meet that I had already put my name down for, so will have to make this in July instead. Sorry... 1. R800NER -

As sarnie says, the solicitor used may have a copy, or if not the bank with whom the mortgage is with. Ours weren't electronic, the bank sent them to us. Included with the title deeds etc are copies of land registry reports and diagrams which show the boundry lines.

Zed cut out twice whilst driving - its terrifying
Chesterfield replied to Bundus's topic in 350Z General
The brakes and steering are power assisted, if the engine stops so does the power for those units. Though a faulty fuel pump wouldnt cause a sudden stop of power would it? It would splutter and eventually give up after a few seconds etc wouldnt it? -
Hi and Welcome - glad you like the club

Its a damned good job they scrapped the "driver with most wins, is championship winner". The season could be over in a couple of races time if that were the case.

Still wont affect the take or pay clauses. You can have flexible purchasing agreements where by you can secure prices for various points in time and for certain volumes, but take or pay clauses will remain. Having a contract with a supplier to take gas will mean the supplier purchasing the gas up front to secure the price - simply switching the tap off and expacting the supplier to be "stuck" with the stock that they purchased in order to secure the price for the customer wont work. Hence the take or pay clauses. The suppliers purchase based on expected customer demand at the time of securing. Even when purchasing on a daily basis, there will still be an underlying contract with the supplier/s. We negotiate over £100m worth of gas/electricity purchasing every year for our clients, and you cant simply switch off an £80k per month supply and expect the supplier to swallow it. They may be able to shift costs to other plants and negotiate lower consumption levels going forward which will allow the supplier to resell any pre booked supply back into the market, but it is a totally different kettle of fish to simply switching the gas off and getting a zero bill like you would at home.

To be fair, mine needed a rear bumper for the sake of a tiny half inch crack in it when another car was shunted into mine. Due to how difficult the paint is to match, it was touch and go if they would blend into the arches and boot lid. If I had left it with the "approved" repairer, thats exactly what they said they were going to do. As the only damage to the car was a tiny crack in the bumper, I told them where to stick it and went to another bodyshop. They managed to match the paint and just do the bumper - but it took them well over 20 paint mixes to get it right. It could be that this has befallen a similar fate and they just let the approved repairer get on with it. It seems common today to find that rather than get as near to an exact match as possible, bodyshops will get it about right and then blend in half the bloody car. Fortunately in my case, I have photos of why I needed a new rear bumper and showing the "extent" of the damage. Here is what caused me to have a new rear bumper, this crack and a slight scuff:

Not wanting to throw a spanner in the works, but commercial energgy agreements differ MASSIVELY from domestic gas/electricity agreements. Most large gas agreements carry what is known as "take or pay clauses". These vary in their thresholds, but 80/120 is not uncommon. What this means is that the site is contracted to use a minimum of 80% and a maximum of 120% of its nominated AQ (annual quantity). In short, the supplier reserves the right to charge the site for 80% of its annual quantity regardless of its usage. i.e. at £80k per month, thats a minimum £768k for the year regardless of whether the site uses it or not. Some suppliers will reconcile this on a monthly basis with an average daily load calculation, some will reconcile it at the end of the year, so clients may not be aware its coming. The bad news is that if its reconciled at the end of the year, there would be a massive outstanding balance on the account come contract renewal time, if this cannot be cleared in one payment, then at contract renewal the current supplier would not allow the transfer to another provider. Effectively they would then have the company over a barrel with regard to its next contract price. If the company is considering using the "savings" from simply switching off the gas to continue paying staff, I would be making sure they know the detail within their supply agreement. I know of two suppliers that will contract with no minimum consumption level, one of those will only do it when pushed and given assurances of the load, the other is not a well known company, and would perhaps not take on the risk of a construction related business with such a large AQ anyway.

Is the 350 a comfortable cruiser?
Chesterfield replied to Hardy87's topic in Introductions & Welcome Messages
Have previously done over 2000+ miles around europe in a little under two weeks, some journeys consisting of 450 mile trips in a single morning - and it was just fine. Got out without any aches or pains that some other cars give after being in for that length of time. -
Although he may have been provoked by the hand gesture, coming and throwing punches through a window is simply not on. Ive seen this happen before some years ago and had to go to court as a witness (though the guy pleaded guilty before I had to go in). Its easy to say fight back, but the shock of someone doing that through the window and your position sat inside a car makes it very difficult to do anything. Having seen it happen though, I gave it some thought as to what I would do given the same situation. If the initial shock of someone leaning through the window throwing fists did not render me motionless for a moment, I would be tempted to remove the Z key and use that. At the very least I would take the reg number, and from there its a matter of a few folding beer tokens to the right people to have the guy given a "talking to" about the error of his ways.

Having just watched a few of the videos on this, it is bloody amazing. The possibilities for the technology are really fascinating. Imagine bundling Call of Duty with a gun controller which does the firing and turning left/right and the natal technology sensing your aiming, crouching, laying down etc.... Ill almost certainly get one - and hope that the developers can think of new and additional wayd of making this work with true games like COD, Halo etc...

I read this with interest earlier - and came up with a couple of questions.. If you were using this to control an adventure game for example, how would you turn your character around 180 degrees? If you physically turn round, then you wont be looking at your telly anymore... If you were playing football, it could detect kicks etc, but again how would it determine direction of play if you cant turn your body away from viewing the screen? Will be interesting to see how this develops though, and it would certainly move toward making playing video games healthier, which cant be a bad thing. If only I had this controller available now for use with Call of Duty, I'd be fit as a fiddle rather than looking more like the pillsbury dough boy

you can use " " to search for phrases. e.g. If you search for "catch can" (including the quotes), that will narrow the search considerably. also, three letter words cannot be searched, the strain on the database to index all three letter words found in any post can become large, so only four letter words and above can be searched individually. Three letter words can however be searched for as part of a prhase, like in the example "catch can" Hope this helps
