JTS - Japanese Tuning Show - Silverstone, Sun 31st May
Chesterfield replied to H5's topic in National Events & Shows
I believe I know the actual reason why Mark was in this position..... He was having trouble getting the appropriate end out of his tool, which was needed to assist me in removing the plastic plugs I was struggling with on my front end... I needed them removing so I could continue with the addition to make my front end nice and shiney. I was trying with my fingers but couldn't quite do it. Marks tool helped tremendously... Thanks Mark - very much appreciated! -
Happy Birthday Bex

Race Valeting Vs Kosovan Car Wash.....
Chesterfield replied to Race Valeting's topic in Car Detailing
Excellent work - I have a black car and boy does it show the swirls. Luckily I have nothing as bad as those, but its good to know that all can be fixed by a pro. -
No harm in asking for the evidence, the worst that can happen is that they say you can only access it in court. If you are certain you werent speeding, then the choice to challenge it is entirely yours. As posted above, it is highly unlikely that they will have "done you" if you werent speeding, as it would be their job on the line. Though in todays culture of setting targets, and having to acheive those targets without fail, is it unthinkable that all may not be what it seems? A letter asking if you can go on a driver improvement course in lieu of points may be a start. Afterall, if you have points on your license already, even though you have tried to adjust your ways it is evident by another NIP that the points havent worked, and in order to prevent this from happening time and time again, you would like to volunteer to partake in a driver improvement course to resolve the underlyig issue......

Absolutely no problem with having a dealer named and shamed here for that sort of work! What a disgrace!! I use a tyre place close to me that most people would drive past as it looks more like a shed with tractor tyres and HGV wheels piled outside. You would expect them to be fitting tyres with lump hammers and crowbars. However they take great care, and have changed the tyres on my cars several times without any damage to any rims at all, and they charged me less than £20 to do all four. When you find a place that changes your tyres without any damage, stick with them for life! The pictures posted here demonstrate a complete and utter lack of care and attention, and a total disregard for the customers property.

I wont get one, as I stuck to the speed limits. The wales trip for me is about creating a spectacle, without making a spectacle of ourselves. We specifically involved the police in order to further back up our main goal of keeping the drive safe, enjoyable and free from incident. If anyone does get a NIP from the Wales trip, then they didnt take any notice of what we and/or the police said on the morning of the drive.

Do PC's still suffer from a plague of 14 year old hackers running permanent radar and unlimited ammo cheats

Louis - it may be worth contacting the organisers and advising them that you would like to get a press photo jacket for the day. Point them in the direction of some of your work here and I am sure they will be able to arrange it. When the drifting was on last year, they did allow some photographers inside the track during track sessions and the drifting, but they all had the official tabards - I guess provided by the organisers. -
I dont enjoy playing FPS games on a PC for the simple fact that aiming on a PC is ridiculously easy. Though the rest of the controls always seem a little more difficult. I do like the way that PC games allow you to configure custom controls, but I still find them difficult. Ive played loads of FPS shooter games in my time, the majority of which have been on a PC until I got the 360, but I can honestly say that my enjoyment of playing Call of Duty on the xbox is far greater than any of my previous experiences playing on a PC. Though my prefference for strategy games, like the Command and conquer / Red alert series is PC, and I have never enjoyed playing these types of game on a console, ever.

Myself and Mike already are part of a clan that plays WaW, and we will certainly be getting Modern Warfare 2. Xbox 360 based. Aiming with the mouse on PC is just way too easy, and there are always way too many hacks on PC platform for my liking.

What does your oil pressure gauge read on idle?!
Chesterfield replied to cfoster's topic in 350Z Technical
Mine does too, if 1/4 is 15, then mine can sit as low as 10-12 on idle. -

ABS Warning light and faulty speedo = £4,500?????
Chesterfield replied to moviepunk's topic in 350Z Technical
My first reaction is that the price quoted is ridiculous. £4.5k for a box of tricks and probably an hours labour at best. Id try another deaer - or indeed start searching the scrap yards for the parts you want. depending on how much effort it is to remove, you may be better spending a couple of hours in a scrap yard taking the bits off and paying the scrap dealer whateer they think its worth - you may be lucky and find one that would rather lt you have it for a hundred quid than let it sit and rot in his yard for years to come. -
New engine bay mod! Can anyone guess what it is?!
