+1 on this, personally i think the nurrish nav is a PoS but many seem to like it, the cookbot setup is far more solidly built and less likely to give you any issues. Not really a viable option for satnav though... it uses your 3g connection via a dongle so if you dont have unlimited data or get stuck somewhere with a poor signal your a bit stuffed thats why i did my own Cookbots is a nice set up but i just wanted a nav Ive loaded the maps onto my cookbot, so I dont need a data connection. You only need a data connection if you intend to stream maps.

Just got a Panasonic PV65VT30. Unfortunately almost all decent big screen tv's now have 3d by default. So the key is to ensure that its 2d capability (if you arent bothered about 3d) is still top notch, and hasnt been compromised in order to get the tv on the 3d bandwagon. I have to say although Ive viewed some 3d stuff on the TV, watching a whole film like Avatar in 3d would just tire my eyes I think. An animated film is much easier to view in 3d imho, but as it will just be displaying good old corrie and eastenders for the most part, then I went for a plasma rather than LED/LCD to get the good black levels. Just need to sort out the right sound system for the lounge now. Nothing too obtrusive, little sattelite speakers and a small sub - Im not wanting to go the whole home cinema route in the lounge. Must get a copy of Tron Legacy in 3d though just for the demo factor that has for 3d films. I like the way it goes from letterbox to full screen 3d scenes too. Excellent refference material for a 3d system. I still like Avatar to demo a 2d system and sound though

I hope that the real answers behind lockerbie and PC Yvonne fletcher didn't die with him, but sadly I fear they may. Unless now people believe they can come forward without fear of reprisals back in Libya?

Not just you - I noted it too. There seemed to be an issue getting to the server control panel for a second too while going to reset it, so Im assuming it was host possibly a brief host related issue. Will get it checked and see if there was any other underlying cause.

It will need to be handled well in order to prevent pro gadaffi supporters from going on an all out revenge assault on whatever target they see fit. Being shot and dieing from wounds is one thing, being shot in both legs, and the head sounds more like assasination to me. That could ruffle a few feathers

Although I think him being out of power is now good for Libya, the change needs to be managed well otherwise it will just be another animal farm re-enacment. Starting with how they handle this capture or killing of gaddafi. Im not quite sure how someone gets shot in both legs while being captured. Most people would stop running after getting shot in one. Hopefully this will be handled well and there wont be any more unnecessary bloodshed or result in the rise and retribution of other sectors.

Oh joy, a favourite subject.. Tax avoidance is perfectly legal. Evasion is not. If those "loopholes" are closed then many businesses with the ability to offshore, will. Net result will be a reduction in tax revenue. Then it will be down to the rest of us personally, or businesses that do not have the ability to offshore, to fill the very big gap left behind. People protesting to close these loopholes would do well to take a step back, as they could very well be biting the hand that feeds. People think cuts are bad now, imagine if someone like BP were to offshore a massive chunk of their business and take their corporation tax with them. I'd much rather have a system where everyone pays the same percentage regardless of income level (over a minimum ammount - say £12k). If you earn a wage, its taxed at X%, that same percentage is applied to dividends, wages, capital gains, inheritance, etc etc. Then its fair to everyone isn't it? Im also a great advocate of personal tax being capped at a certain level, although it will never happen. A professional footballer on £250k a week or £13m a year even using the loopholes available and having "companies" to manage them, will still be paying at least £4.5m a year in tax. There is no possible way anyone can justify that as a fair ammount for a single individual to pay. I also despise the argument of "they can afford it so why shouldn't they pay more". Well hows about we apply that to the weekly shop then? If someone earns £50k then they can pay twice as much for their shopping as someone on £25k. Why not, they can afford it, wheres the problem? -
Have a great day Vik

You want to make sure whatever you buy has got decent tyres on then, as a set of tyres (winter or otherwise) can be expensive depending on profile and size etc, easily £100+ per corner.

Nissan X-Trail, Kia sportage, Suzuki jimny, Isuzu Trooper, Freelander, Vitara, Toyota Rav4, Mitsubishi pajero, Honda CRV, vauxhall frontera. All available cheap ish. Depends on budget. Failing being able to get a 4x4, then something car oriented, but not sport car oriented with the right tyres on would be the next best thing I guess. Octavia 4x4, panda 4x4 etc. Mind you the right tyres on a non 4x4 specific vehicle will be better than a Range Rover or Nissan Navara on 22" blinged wheels and PZero Rosso's

Its in the "rivals" challenges from the "my club" menu if I recall correctly. You can check your friends times, or just go set one of your own and see where you are in the world rankings.

Come on then, what are peoples "Star in a reasonably priced car" times? Name:.......................Time:..............Clean Lap: Chesterfield_________1:44:073_______Yes.

The architecture in an xbox is quite similar to a PC in the fact it has a cpu, gpu, memory and hard drive. So its similar to one specific make and model of pc, with one specific graphics card and driver, one specific type of processor etc. As sonn as you allow people to change the hardware, as people are free to do in the PC market, then your software has to account for so many more variables and be robust enough to cope with these without falling over.
-
By developing for the xbox only, they have a standard hardware set they can tweak the game for. Knowing it will play correctly on everyones machine. Developing so it will run on a myriad of differing graphics cards with various different interpretations of texture shading/lighting etc etc would be a lot bigger task.

Played this quite a bit last night (postie brought it early ) it is graphically stunning, and the menu system along with club features etc are brilliant too. Its great fun

Id be up for funding a car, or at the very least sharing the costs of funding one.

shared ownership would seem to be the way to go perhaps

If you think they look wacky on the outside, you should see them on the inside! There were two (one tin top one soft top) at a meet at donigton a few months ago, very rare sight indeed.

Saw the first one with a v-twin engine, certainly quite a cool bike, but at about £35k last time I read, they aint cheap.

Actually other than today, it's been refreshing to see the unread posts first page full of loosely Z related threads.

Ive got some Vredestein Wintrac Extreme coming for the RRS too. Ive also changed to the higher profile smaller narrower rims for the winter too. Hoping that I will be able to get out and play in the snow when/if it arrives

I didn't bother as last time I reported something, the Mod who sent me abuse threw a hissy fit, resigned and then was reinstated a couple of months later And this makes it a pointless exercise for all posts then? A member of the team resigning due to posts and disagreements with members over certain issues, does not negate the massive contributions they may have made in other areas of the club. P.S thread locked before it detracts from the very thread which caused its creation in the first place.
