£70 for the cable!!! Thats just bloody ridiculous. For lengths less than 2m, you can almost transmit hdmi over string. Its a digital signal, so it either works or it doesnt - none of this gold plated techno garbage is worth the paper its written on half the time. Ive got a 12m HDMI to a projector that cost about £25 and its worked just fine for years. 1.4 supprts resolutions up to 4000 x 2000, and has an integrated ethernet channel - but the most commonly used function of 1.4 is for full frame (1080p) 3d. As above, you can pick them up for a tenner or so for a 2m job. Just make sure it states 1.4 or 1.4a and test it works on a 3d film before burying the cable in the wall if thats what the plan is.

Looking for something to replace the altea fr. The sports suspension is not practical at all for Tracy at present. Having looked at the Nissan juke, is it me or are they just unbeatable by quite some margin? The tekna model has from memory: Sat nav cruise Bluetooth auto wipers auto lights heated seats leather Keyless and its £16.5k new. I've looked at the new kia sportage too and to get similar spec its over £21k. Not looking to buy brand new, but is there anything in the small cross over range that can compete on value?

Out of the four marques owned presently, only one has never given me an issue, the Nissan. Im struggling to think of another marque we have owned that hasn't given me issues. Ford, vauxhall, MG, Nissan, Ferrari, Jaguar, Land Rover, Seat, Volkswagen, Mazda, Peugeot. Only the Nissan has never had something to be concerned about. Its got the clicky rear axle, but thats it.

Its not just me either. Checking my personal email this morning and I have an email asking me if my recent visit to Jaguar in Thames Ditton was a satisfactiry experience. It appears that they have not updated the email address of the owner of the Jaguar I traded in. The new owner must be having just as much joy with the car as I had.

Tell me about it. Ive got the dreaded ABS unit failure on the Seat as well. Just had a conversation with their customer service team and it seems there may not be any "goodwill" on Seats part because there isnt full Seat service history with the vehicle... (thats because on the first service of the TWO new seats we bought from them, they ripped us off by charging more for the exact same part numbers to make the different cars meet their "menu" price system even though they had the very same engine... ) Tracy wants shut of the Altea anyway as the ride is too harsh. I know its a £1600 fix on the Altea for the ABS unit to be replaced, so if there isnt any good will, if I can get more than what I think the car is worth less the £1600 I know its going to take to fix, then Ill trade it in. They are the biggest bunch of slopey teflon shouldered folk Ive ever had the misfortune to try and rely upon. Once the product is out of their factory they couldnt give two nobs of goat sh*t about it. On the plus side I am fairly confident in my local Land Rover dealer though, they have always been very professional.

Mine was 3 months old when I bought it. I wasnt going to buy anything new from JLR after the last one, they had enough of my money for a piece of junk with the xf. Actually I fibbed, Ive just realised its 7 or 8 months old. If someone had bought it 6 months old, they would have got this problem Ah well, it'll get fixed hopefully. Im just quote dissapointed that even after giving the brand a second chance, it turns out that it wasnt just unlucky that both my brother and I got lemons in the xf. It appears they just build all lemons, its just a question of what will go wrong with each one. Thats certainly my experience.

Oh yes - I learnt my lesson with the last one not to buy a JLR product without a warranty I dont really care how expensive it is, it's under warranty so they will be picking up the tab. If it goes again, then they can pick up the tab again.

Range Rover started giving error messages the last day or so. Suspension fault - Normal Height Available Only. Looking around, it seems the air compressor is possibly failing. Not bad to say its only about 6 months old with less than 6k on the clock. Serious question.... Can JLR build f**king anything to a decent standard today? Although their recent cars are starting to look very nice, Id be spending a bit more time enuring they build the bloody things right if I were them.
