I did Think Id rather go the DB9 route though for that cash.

Im not particularly bothered - ive read the small print of the agreement that we have with them, and Im amazed to find that there is a statement which says that should any of their payments be overdue to us, they are subject to the same interest charges and late fees that they themselves apply to their own customers.. So Im having fun with a calculator at the moment. Im also seeing some very strange things in the world of credit checks too - Ive had one quite large UK company actually reject the worlds 7th largest bank on the basis of credit. The excuse was that in todays climate you cant be sure that a bank is stable.. At the time of the statement, the net assets of said bank could have bought this UK PLC about 2156 times over... Laugh, I nearly cried.

Id like to see the bit about larger organisations being forced to pay smaller ones in a timely manner become a reality. Im now aproaching the stage where Im about to file county court papers against a multinational company because of an unpaid debt of a measly few hundred quid. Its not the money that is the problem, its the principal that we have a signed agreement for services from that company, weve provided the services, and they have now pi$$ed about for over 6 months giving various different reasons as to why our invoices haven't been paid yet.. Not a problem to us, but I can see how these actions could lead to other businesses suffering serious cash flow issues.

Drivers side door won't unlock when very cold
Chesterfield replied to andrew.pacey's topic in 350Z Technical
Not experienced this myself on the Z, however we did have the exact samesymptoms once on an MX5. Turned out that it was water in the central locking motor which when frozen, would prevent the motor turning. Also it prevented you from using the catch inside as the whole lot was connected. The water must have made it in over time because of a slightly torn rubber seal on the locking mechanism attached to the motor, we needed a new central locking motor, and with the new one I drilled two small holes in the bottom of the housing so that any water ingress at a later date would just drain out of the bottom. Looks like a door card off job and an inspection of your unlocing motor. -
Thats cool! Dont take this the wrong way, but you just HAVE to get something like this fitted....

As Alfas are usualy pretty cars, Im trying to find something I like... The tyres are "unique" As for the rest, its just a horrid, awful ugly thing.

If myself and tracy had been in the circumstances we are now back when we bought the Z, ours would be about that mileage. Its done precisely 17 miles since the last Wales run in October.

Couldnt this be seen as attempting to pervert the course of justice?

Change of Avatar.......................Change of Car
Chesterfield replied to choptop's topic in 350Z General
Hi Buddy! We made th same switch from roadster to coupe some time ago. There will be days in the summer when you wish you still had the convertible though! -
It was in the boot on Tracy's MK2. This was a great car, very reliable and handled incredibly well. Though as others have said its not the most "manly" of cars. Tracys went to make way for the Z, but given another couple of garages Id buy another one for her without hesitation. Heres Tracys old one:

terrible morning! my own fault - but could've been worse!!!
Chesterfield replied to hotrain69's topic in 350Z General
Dont worry too much about the 3 points, there re that many drivers withthree points, Ive been told before that the first three dont make any great difference anyway. What with millions of people getting 3 points for the likes of 36 in a 30 at 2am in the morning being done by a machine that hasnt got any discretion, 3 points will soon be the norm. Havent got any myself yet, touch wood, but with the growing nanny state, its only a matter of time. -

Yes, this is the company I work for. We all gotta make a living! Can you teach them how to do it properly in our area then - they are starting road works on my way to work to install a roundabout, and the diversion takes you down a narrow road.... They have then placed cones either side of this narrow road to stop people parking on it and restricting the flow of traffic to only one vehicle width at any point... Trouble is, the cones are that wide that placing them either side of said road has made it single width anyway.... -

I do wonder whether the email address the chump registered with is actually his own. If it is, it would certainly explain some of the moronic decisions made by road works companies, if this is the level of intellect that can be expected from one.. Maybe we can keep the next one in a confined area of the forum, for baiting and Friday giggles? -

Just a minute - isnt this £114k based on the 15 (ish) million yen at todays exchange rate. When the GTR was priced at 7.8M Yen, that equated to £35k at the time, but when it got to our shores in the UK, it found itself bloated to £55k, or up by 57%. Apply the same to the GTR and its closer to £150k plus...

National Insurance, both employers and employees Income tax Corporation tax Tax on dividends And then on anything you manage to get into your back pocket after all that, you get to pay Value added Tax on the stuff you buy! Follow £100 through the flow and its £32.50 in corporation tax, pay yourself the remaining £67.50 as a bonus and at 40% thats another £27 in tax, and lets not forget the 67p national insurance, leaving you with £39.33, oh and it cost the comapny £12.80 to pay you the £100 in the first place. So in the above example it costs £112.80 to put £39.33 in the employees pocket. Thats over 65% in tax. Then you spend that £39.33 on goods liable for VAT and youve actually coughed up another £5.90 in tax, leaving you with £33.43 from the original £112.80... Of course there are options for some of dividend payment instead of bonuses, or sticking money into a pension fund to save the corporation tax, though the latter doesnt officially get it into your pocket until you retire, but even these methods aren't exactly what people would call major tax loopholes. What with the economy having a wonderful time of it and Darling hell bent on getting us into a mess which will need taxes raising to resolve it - I dont think we are in for a pleasant time. Happy days..

If you are planning on going for a 370 in a couple of years, then you will probably lose more on a new 350 in the next two years than you will on your current one, and thats if you sell your current one in any decent timeframe. The way I look at it is: current 350 - say 10k? In two more years £7k? New 350 £20k, in two years £13k? 370 in two years - £20k? So using the figures above, you would spend £10, and to trade to the 370 spend another £7k, so alltogether £17k. Leave it two years and go from the current 350 to the 370 and its £13k. Thats if the figures above are anything like correct. Though I would guess a new 350 now will lose money more rapidly than your existing 350 in the next two years, so Id stick it out.
