  2. New * Discs and Pads all round today as the current ones were getting very tired and worn. And when your at maximum attack on track the last thing you want is to be attacking the wall because you can't stop. Products of choice this time were the black diamond grooved discs, same as previous as they have done over 2 years with no issue and they are very competitivly priced, cheaper than other options at just over £200 pair. They are now owned by ProBite so not sure who actually manufactures them now but either way a good solid disc. Front Pads, I have opted for the PBS Procomp S1 compound. I have heard lots of good things about PBS so thought I would give them a try, Gone for their most expensive option because most expensive equals most bestest obviously. Now the ProComp pad is available in 4 different compounds but only the S1 is offered for the 350z brembos which is ideal for me as thats the one I need. Its designed more for sprinting and shorter races, works from 50c (so almost stone cold) and offers top level friction coefficient of 0.5 accross full temperature range upto 800c. Rear pads, I am using some EBC Yellowstuff I have had in the garage sat around, They have been used before but are only around 20%-25% worn so thought make the most of them and save some money. I also bought a caliper tool to wind the pistons back as I thought my usual technique of shoving a hammer in and using the disc as leverage will come back to bite me at some point. So onto the left front, like I sad, discs have seen better days. Removed the caliper and gave it as good a clean as i could in the time i had without going too crazy. I should have taken a before pic as they were caked inside with brake dust after nearly 2 years of driving and race events. New discs on, new pads in, every bolt and thread copper greased up, I don't wether you should copper grease some threads or wether its the right thing to use, but it does mean everything comes off nice and easy when you want it too, I didn't have any problems what-so-ever this time because i copper greased everything last time! Front pads were not down to the backing plates like i thought but only had around 4mm left so were definately getting low. I always assume the insides that you can't realy see will be worse (because as some of you might know) the brembos seem to wear the inner pads quicker than the outers, there may be some logic to it, the inner pistons are closer to the flexis/hard lines so get force? who knows but because I inspect the pads every year when the season finishes I had swapped them around last time which meant that over the 2 years ish the wear was more or less uniform. Onto the front right, dust shield looking very corroded but still attached, again cleaned up caliper best i could. And new product behind the wheel: Onto the rears, didn't take any pics really as its more or less same as the front, the rear discs are a little tricky to get off as anyone who has changed their 350z brakes will know, they tend to catch on the internal handbrake shoes but a little patience and wiggling and a mallet and they come off. The rear discs and pads were certainly overdue for changing. Disc below with a noticeable lip, probably worn more than recomended, so much so the grooves had started wearing out so were not grooving any more. And Similar story with the pads, only around 2mm left on them. pic below next to the yellowstuff, I was suprised that the yellowstuff pads had a significantly smaller pad face area but as its the rears should be fine. Rear Discs and pads all complete. Looking forward to feeling the difference in this setup. Will bed them in tomorrow as i'm ready for bed after doing this.

  4. Crazy money indeed. I reckon you could import a Nismo at the end of this year for near £55,000.....because ive seen a Nismo for around £44k discounted from £51,000 with few miles.....if discounted duty stays the same its possible along with local depreciation On top of that theres 180+ for sale in Japan and theyre coming down. Patience is key to not getting ripped off. The margin here on this particular car is about £9,000+ 😉..because theyre 37k new locally for ST model. Yes the seller will make more than 9 bags as the yoof say.

  6. It's been maintained well. To be clear, I know FSH can be defined as service every year (or 10,000 miles, whichever is sooner), so there are a few services which are 'extended' past a year simply as the mileage was very low for that period. I agree with this approach and to be completely transparent I am uploading a photo of the maintenance record book below for any potential buyers. If you have any other questions let me know. .
  7. Wow it looks nice but 55k never would I pay that for one seriously 😳
  8. If you read the description it says FSH
  9. Same car on fleabay - https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/127085003403?_skw=nissan+400&itmmeta=01JT8WP6DDSSV5KACV02ZJB6MS&hash=item1d96db428b:g:zckAAOSwHa9oEmBU&itmprp=enc%3AAQAKAAAA0FkggFvd1GGDu0w3yXCmi1fNqXojUKF46pwyvoNMpsJz%2FGqZvjEJJbNP16GY4LRmTdDPQrcvRjGUFXj5jRgHNbCyU398WiTT2J225vak2MTkr0Ff2w7cTAvjhX1UaQqpD0S2BcUhTdSIAzDbgdKcMnavbgf8CKgmjii58777N9%2Bl0o%2F1FvHHOk%2BKM2r%2FxnfrC%2Fsp%2FZv1YGuQhhis20fLehasa5G0N%2FyFTuNItUlsy1jMXLSTF5IgoTZN2n7WcO0d62qZQV%2F1f0ZK41hxgv9ipIM%3D|tkp%3ABk9SR_bm2JzSZQ

    Rear Brembo Piston

ended up buying one from biggred, very happy with the quality especially for the price https://www.biggred.co.uk/nissan-350z-coupe-z33-3498-2003-2006-petrol-engine-vehicle-17435/product/brp-caliper-pistons/piston-40mm-diameter-29mm-height-alloy-brp234035
  13. I've owned the car since September 2021 and it has had absolutely minimal use since then as can be seen from the MOT history. It is only being sold to make space at my storage unit. Mileage is 108,687 today which will increase slightly as the car will be used occasionally until sold, including test drives. I've fitted a few parts during my ownership including a new battery, new master and slave cylinders, stainless clutch line and Mishimoto fans. Alignment was checked and all good when the rear tyres were fitted last year. The overall condition is good and I'm not aware of any problems with the car. As always, photos flatter the condition but it's a nice car and I have tried to describe it accurately. Inspect it and satisfy yourself. In terms of bodywork, there is a tiny amount of bubbling behind the osr arch and it hasn't worsened in the over three years I've owned the car. The paintwork on the nsf wing has some splits in it but no rust and I would say it has been painted in the past. A few chips and scratches but no more than you would expect for the age and mileage. Interior is average for the model and year. No serious damage as the pictures show. Roof operates correctly and the aircon works. New mohair roof was fitted in 2017. It has Nissan Birdview fitted satnav but will not run the CD that came with the car. The wheels were refurbished by a previous owner and only have very light damage. Touching in is all that's required. Tyres are budget Delintes on the front an Kumho Ecstas on the rear. All tyres are undamaged and have close to maximum tread. Engine starts and runs normally. Oil pressure just under 30 at idle and around 60 at 2750rpm. Pads and discs all good. Three original Nissan keys. All manuals and a fair batch of old bills. V5 in my name. Private sale. I've think I've priced the car very fairly at £4500 and if the buyer pays the asking price I'll include the oil and filter for them to do a change. Please don't waste my time or yours with lowball offers. No px offers thanks. I need space not another car. Car can be viewed in Worthing, West Sussex or locally by arrangement.
  14. Currently sat on a 50kw charger, not many near me are higher than this. 50 mins 56% to 100%, why would I only go to 80% and lose 70ish miles of range for a company car. hopefully things will change when I get a home charger but it will be 7kw so 8-12 hours overnight charge.
  15. Morning fellas, welkom to the community. I try and arrange a meet or drive out for us all once a month.
  16. So we have a 22kw at home it charges the Kia ENiro in 4-5 hours from 20-80%. Its charged once a week if that. But cost around £3. It would be cheaper with Solar. Most homes that have a charger probably use 7kw thats 11 hours or so. People who have Octopus Energy or EV Tarriffs charge overnight when its cheapest. Between 12 and 5am.
  17. Lol, buying a car from Brum....fair play they put the trim as ST. So yeah theyre 37k+ in Japan. http://www.autotrader.co.uk/car-details/202504301897298?utm_source=share&utm_medium=android-app
  18. I don't know that much about the tariffs or charge time's as I was awkward and refused the electric van point blank and I am glad that I did.
  19. With a 22kw it should take 5 hours. But theyve only set it to charge at certain times. On their EV tarriffs.
  20. Sounds like a slower 50kw charger or granny charger. Some cars cant take Supercharging. Even without supercharging shouldnt be over an hour. If charging to 100% 80-100 is slower.
  21. Hi, thanks for sharing David! New to the Z community and may not make this event but how frequent are the meets?
  22. GLWTS. Lovely looking car. This shouldn't stay for long.

  24. The company I work have also payed for the installation of charging points on employee's driveways, but the vans are only getting charged when the electric is at its best price, so the vans don't get fully charged 🤣
  25. I have 1 x pair New OMP seats, including Subframes, Runners, Sliders and Brackets: 350Z Fitment: Taken out of boxes for photos only: £650.00: Very comfortable seats and really look the part. Just open the link and scroll down to find the pictures of the OMPs https://www.350z-uk.com/topic/125665-loadsa-parts-for-sale-picture-heavy-now-with-prices-and-detail/
  26. Now the exterior of my build is well underway I am looking to the interior, I am debating between some bride fixed back seats (from BRIDE SEATS EUROPE eBay) these are just replicas or sparco R500 sky also maybe some Corbeau SVR seats. Any recommendations? Dont want to break the bank looking around 5-800 for the pair. Just thinking comfort, style and hugging capability. Also I’m aware that I could be sitting a lot lower so need to think of that. Don’t want to be driving in the boy racer backseat style. Any seat recommendations is most helpful……
  27. Yes, our engineers are having1 1/2 hour lunch breaks so not completing all the daily jobs as they need to charge. For some reason they thought they would charge in their own time… I don’t have a home charger as my house was going up for sale when I got the EV and they won’t move it so I spend 1 1/2 hours 2 days a week charging so I have a charge to get to sites. These are all expensive third party chargers and I get warnings all time about my ppm as they don’t get my 10pm kwh cost at home 🤣
