  2. ULTRACE Part 4 We left Poland early and headed towards Paris for a day there, we took pictures by what I was told by the missus were landmarks of her favourite tv show before escaping the worst city in the world I did manage to get "parked" right outside everywhere we went though - confidence and foreign license plates go a long way in keeping your car nearby without having to pay for parking lol
  3. Today
  4. ULTRACE Part 3 The car show itself was unfortunately underwhelming - some great builds there (not very many z's aha) but it was poorly planned so we spent more time looking for water than at the cars. That evening though we attended a car meet that was straight out of a NFS game.
  5. ULTRACE Part 2 After finally getting some rest we had a day free before the show so we went on a shopping trip, took plenty of pics and videos of the cars before a drunken night that ended at 6am after the sun had risen
  6. ULTRACE Part 1 Firstly impressed with how much more you can fit in the boot of the 370 compared to the 350. We drove down as a convoy of 4, two red nissans and two white BMW M cars, got on Le Shuttle with no issues but ran into tons of weather and traffic - staring off with rain/thunderstorms through france to a 40 degree heatwave through traffic jams in germany, but we eventually made it after 28 hours of driving and 40 hours of being awake. I really wished I had functioning AC during this trip...
  7. This being a bit of a project car and due to carrying a fire extinguisher being a legal requirement in Germany I decided to hardmount a fire extinguisher in the Z. I tried to do as clean a job as possible and kept the top carpet off so that I can remove the extinguisher mount and cover up the holes if I choose to.
  8. Hi and welcome along buddy. Nice looking Zed you have there.

  10. Hello everyone, just got my first 2003 350z after looking for a project car for about 1 year, mechanically sound, but a rust bucket nevertheless:))) Has a paddle clutch from Tarmac fitted, yes it did give me a run for my money and yes - lots of fun in London traffic:) Managed to make it look a bit more appealing and having lots of fun driving it. Looking forward to meeting likeminded people 😀
  11. Last week
  12. For the steering wheel buttons on volume up/down, source, and the phone/talk, are they just sending a constant 12v signal to the end of the wire harness, or is it different electrical pulses that the radio then interprets for volume, source, and phone/talk?
  13. So today's job was to give the interior door handles and vent surrounds a lick of satin black paint as they were looking very scratched up. A couple of hours of a job, right? I'm not sure if this is the factory Nissan stuff or someone has used a plastidip type product in the past but it was absolutely awful to try and remove. I tried some light solvents, sanding (which just immediately clogged the paper) then ended up using a plastic razor blade to scrape it. It was like trying to remove wax crayon! The driver's side handle was inconsistent and sections were absolutely rock solid, hampering things further. I'm sure a more experienced Zed owner will know the secret sauce to getting this stuff off 👀 In my inexperience, I thought the white colour was down to bare plastic - it turned out to be a primer which only on the drivers side, reacted with the adhesion promoter or primer I had used. So, back to square one but this time scraping wrinkled primer off. I got there in the end and whilst it's a massive improvement on how it looked previously, I'll probably be redoing this to get a neater finish. Before: Paint (crayon?) removal: Completed passenger side: Completed driver's side:

I know this is an old thread, anyone else running these wheels? I would be interested in knowing tyre sizes and what springs / coilovers you’re running thanks in advance
  16. The induction noise when installed will be fantastic Andy
  17. Andy. Try finishing with the blue or pink compound if you haven’t already and I highly recommend Mothers
  18. As you can see the difference between polish and the casting. Takes quite a bit of time to get a shine on it .
  19. I have received a large parcel from Australia full of shiny new stuff. I'm going to polish up the aluminium intake casting. In the next few weeks months but I have started working on them.
