Iโ€™ve got a very rusted bracket on the right side rear behind the wheel arch, it bolts up near the exhaust bracket and to the bottom corner of the bumper and also has a plastic cover that bolts to it i need the part number or name of it if someone can please help I have some pics but you can barely see as itโ€™s extremely rusted
  3. A good day, mine passed too! First since sep 2023. Took it out for a blast around the Andover villages, boy Iโ€™ve missed it.

  7. Been super busy with boring life stuff and not had much time for the zed but she's taking shape now. Still waiting on some sill patches and that's the underside pretty much done. Many new parts and much refreshing of old stuff, can believe the price of standard parts on these cars! Having promised myself I wouldn't get back into drifting and heading over to the initiate show I've been ordering bits again ๐Ÿ™„
  8. Dang just missed this (Friday). Just up the road, too.
  9. Mention @ZMANALEX he might be able to help
  10. Anyone know where I could get 2 more of these repair panels?
  11. So, I'm organising an S12 meet in July, going to try and get at least 20 S12's in the same place : ) And after that she'll be up for sale, I'm thinking offers over ยฃ20k including all the spares I've collected including wheels and tyres. That might seem high but it's way less than has gone into the build. I need the cash as we're moving house, plus I'm losing my storage for her. Meet is 19th July.... :,( One of our Z's might go as well, but not yet.......
  12. ZMANALEX... thanks mates I really appreciate that I'll message you privately now and we can sort it out from there. Keith D... agreed ahah

  15. Canโ€™t seem to figure out how to do it. thank you
  16. Think the car sold this week shy of 50k most likely. Cant see it anywhere on autotrader or ebay. Well seems to be a market there ๐Ÿ˜‚. At 5k margin i reckon. The discounted duty is definitely working.
  17. Sealant around the seals is not a good plan. You should be looking to find the root cause and not carrying out a bodge. The warping is not pretty, but with a good ribbed gasket and proper sealant then I would not expect an external oil leak, however, best to replace them. If a customer of mine returned these to me, my initial reaction would be that they have been overtorqued and possibly also the tightening procedure may not have been followed, however, as a good will gesture, I would replace them this one time free of charge. It concerns me more that you are having persistent oil entering the spark plug tube apertures, which has got to be more than just a coincidence, which leads me to come to the conclusion that if the seals are good and the tubes are good and all things being equal, then you may have an internal crack on the cyl head/heads, which I have seen on a few occasions. Might be time to pull those heads and get them to a machine shop. Nothing more to add than to wish you Good Luck.
  18. The warping is worse than the photo shows, I followed the correct procedure and torque the first time I replaced these. Second time by the looks they may have been overtightened and not allowing for expansion possibly? I'll give it one last go I think following the procedure to a T, and using sealant all the way around the mating face on the head. I can't see any damage to the spark plug tubes so I'll try using sealant for those as well. If it fail again soon which is likely in all honestly I'll bite the bullet and get the ally covers. Thanks for your help and input mate ๐Ÿ‘
  19. Yeah mate, premier inn Chippenham ๐Ÿ‘ Going up Friday early so it's a nice chilled day
  20. Send us the VIN over WhatsApp: +4475 9913 9999 and we'll send you the schematics and part numbers required.
  21. I have now managed to get a little further with my roof problem. I have accessed the mechanical section on the car roof and find that the pivot assembly bracket has snapped and the drag link mechanism has been compressed so the pin cannot follow the 8.5-10mm channel that it should. This has bent the pivot mechanism on the passenger side also. Anyone had any experience of this and can suggest repair options or anyone know how i could get replacement parts for these. Many thanks.
  22. I have sold hundreds of these covers and never had a warping issue, so I can not provide any informed input on that one. I assume that you are using the correct torque sequence procedures? Oil seals are a common failure, and replacing the seals or replacing the complete cover is the only option, I am afraid. I would be looking very closely at the tubes, checking for any damage which may effect proper contact with the oil seals. The tube failures are not a common issue and any damage is usually self inflicted. The covers that I sell come with a 12 month parts warranty for mechanical failure or manufacturing defects. I do not know what warranty came with the eBay covers that you bought, but it may be worth contacting your eBay seller.
  23. Correct yeah, might have to bite the bullet and buy the aluminium ones at this point as I'm on my second pair. Third if you count the pair the car came with when I bought it. I should point out that the external leaks have appeared on both LHS and RHS covers and in different places (one at the side and another at the rear). So I know there is no damage or warping of the heads, no need to have them skimmed etc. I just want to know if anyone has had similar issues with regular failures of seals and what have people done to prevent the oil leaks without replacement parts.
  24. So it looks like you have two issues: 1 being the "warping" of the covers between the bolt holes, causing an external oil leak and the other being the spark plug tube oil seal failures, causing oil to leak into the spark plug apertures. The aperture is the area where the spark plug is located, where the oil is pooling.
  25. Sorry, you're right the warp is the mating face of the cover that seals against the head. In-between the bolt holes have arched up and in general the rear of the cover have bowed upwards too. I am at work right now so will have to upload a photo later around 5pm. And the O-ring seals within the cover are failing often, allowing oil to seep through to drown the spark plugs in oil. Sorry not sure what you mean by apertures.
