    Exhaust manifold

Hi all I have a 2004 350z that is twin turbo that is unfortunately blowing out of the driver side exhaust manifold gasket, is there any garages/specialists westmidlands ways that anyone can recommend to sort it out.
  4. Couple of days back i noticed a misfire on the car when the car was hot. During the misfire the smell of fuel was incredibly potent. If I let the car cool down, it goes away. No eml.was illuminated. It was suggested that I try unplugging the maf and running the car again, this did not seem to make any difference other than illuminated the eml. Left if for a day, arranged recovery, during recovery the car was code scanned and showed: Air mass and temp i understand are part of the same and a result of me unplugging. Cylinder 3 misfire I suspect coil pack. Now, i thought ill swap coil 1 and 3 nusg to see if the fault follows but now the car refuses to give me an error code? Despite trying 3 different scanners from cheap home Bluetooth to professional equipment. So i cant actually see if the fault moved. Whats the chances a coil fixes this? What else could it be? How can I get the car to spit a code at me...

  6. My concern was the PS pump, pretty sure it's not tyres, I know that rubber-rised squeal sound well lol!

  8. Nissan have, or had in the 00s, 3 engineering centres, one in UK (Cranfield) one in Japan, one in the US. Development was a collaboration but each NTC tailored the models to their markets (as well as handling things like regional regulations). I'm going to guess that's still how they work.
  9. Interesting, they have better roads although they use more concrete. Is it just the market demands for comfortability? Expect Japanese spec would ride different. Especially the Nismo.
  10. You can visibly see the suspension is soft and floaty before he even gets to the first corner. My 370z with stock suspension was way better than that, the air ride it's on now with adjustable bound rebound is on a different planet. Like I say, when I worked for PAG, BMW etc in the 90s and 00s it was standard to soften the US vehicles in comparison to UK/EU vehicles.
  11. I saw this on the comments. Its specced as a soft GT. So is that the sport spec not performance model? Either way its Neeesan. I expect the current company has no real direction.
  12. Had to take a pic of this, really don't think I could put a tent on the roof a classic Skyline
  13. I was actually looking around the 400 Nismo at GTR fest the other week, and its certainly nothing to shout about. I would go as far as saying,I like the seats, that's about it, didn't even bother talking pic
  14. I wonder if anyone thought to check that the transit spring clamp things had been removed 😂
  15. I got mine from Amayama because I couldn't find the dimensions anywhere but I measured it, I'd look for cotter pins assortment kit but make sure it's stainless steel and not plated, looks like M5 x 40mm apart from the short leg being bit shorter than the standard dimensions
  16. True, but the 370 Nismo was stiffer in the US than in the UK oddly. Sometimes, you have to wonder if all this tinkering that Nissan do is done by the work experience boy on a Friday afternoon.
  17. He's driving a US spec car and complains it feels sloppy. US 370s were tuned to be softer than UK/EU cars, softer bound/rebound, softer anti roll bars, didn't get VLSD for base models, basic brakes not 4 pots etc. Same deal with 400z. He's a moron.
  18. I have a brand new rear axle for my 350Z but struggling to find a non-oem split/cotter pin anywhere in the exact size. The OEM ones take 2 weeks to ship which is a bit long. Does anyone know where I can get a split/cotter pin that will fit properly? Does it need to be the exact size of 4.78mm x 50mm. Any recommendations of places I can ideally buy from tomorrow would be ideal! Thanks
  19. I dont get this guy. He drove the 370 Nismo from UK and liked it. But now he rips both 350 and 370 lol. The guy got used to driving other people's powerful cars for a couple of laps. Dont expect Nismo to be much better although at 51k it better be. That stock car is dangerous

  21. Steered wheels don't follow a true turning circle and they can skip-slide on full lock. My wife's Rav does it, the tyres squeal like buggery. If its more like a slipping belt noise, could be PS pump belt?
  22. Hi all, looking to see if anyone else has had this issue or can point me in the right direction perhaps. For some reason my 2019 370 Nismo has developed a squeal when I'm on full lock left moving slowly. The car has spacers on it (not horrendous ones). I've had 2x garages check it over, 1x whilst servicing it checked over all the rubber boots, bushes, bearings and said all good and couldn't replicate unless on road test. The 2nd was replacing my front tyres, so checked all my brakes for me just in case. Any ideas? TIA
  23. I'm in the southwest too? Had my 370 Nismo since 2019, and had 350 before that for 2/3 years.
  24. Finished the weekend much better with a big new PB
  25. Not the best start to the weekend. Onwards and upwards…
  26. Not been able to do anything the past year or so as my Z has been resting in Spain. She is now back in Sunny Bournemouth! The big meets are all done for this year but I will organise something before the weather turns.
  27. Doesn't look like much on. Anyone a reasonable distance from somewhere like Podium Place or Caffeine & Machine: The Hut?
  28. Legend! I had this already in my car but turned off so this helped me get it running, thanks man
