Jetpilot Posted May 28, 2015 Posted May 28, 2015 Most companies do ltd mileage discounts, i have one with Reis. Quote
Kev Posted May 28, 2015 Posted May 28, 2015 I only insure mine for 4000 miles a year. All websites ask for annual mileage before they quote. Quote
ZMANALEX Posted May 28, 2015 Posted May 28, 2015 Try Privilege, I have 5 cars with them and it works for me. However as been said, most companies offer reduced premium for low annual mileage. Alex. Quote
veilside z Posted May 28, 2015 Posted May 28, 2015 Yes I agree, go for agreed mileage policy. Don't know I they ever check on it though. Quote
Ekona Posted May 28, 2015 Posted May 28, 2015 Easy to check if you have a claim, they'll just ask for the last MOT cert. 1 Quote
inspiral Posted May 29, 2015 Author Posted May 29, 2015 Hi All Thanks for the feedback. I've been playing with the comparison sites and have been seeing a reduction of around 20% going from 20k to 4k miles. Maybe I'm being naive but was hoping for more....I'll keep looking and report back on what route I decide to take. Cheers Quote
Wendy Posted May 29, 2015 Posted May 29, 2015 Move out of Glasgow ?? !!! North Oxfordshire is good for Insurances Sorry can't be more helpful !!! Good Luck Quote
ts743 Posted May 29, 2015 Posted May 29, 2015 Don't bother with comparison sites for ltd mileage policies, give a specialist a call. I use Keith Michaels for my Evo on a limited policy and it's very reasonable. Quote

inspiral Posted July 28, 2015 Author Posted July 28, 2015 (edited) Hi All A rather late update on this subject. Last year's premium was £300 with Swift Cover and their quote for this years was £295. Both for 10k miles. Tried the usual comparison sites for a 4K miles policy and best I could get was about £340. Rubbish when I'd more than halved the millage. Got a requote from Swift for the reduced millage. Came in at £285 so I went with that. FYI I'm 4X, have no claims or points and live in Glasgow city centre. Hope this helps someone.
