  1. Deposit taken from a forum member, my little old zed is heading for a new life at the other end of the UK, please lock.
  2. Sad to say it’s time to sell. I now work from home so it's not getting much use. 99,500 miles. MOT'd until March 2022. GT spec; heated electric leather seats, cruise control, Rays forged alloys. I'm in Glasgow, PM me for more details or a call. Self-driven test drive with proof of at least 3rd party insurance. I can arrange delivery across the UK depending on location or there's Shiply that gives plenty of options. Can hold with deposit until pickup. It's had an easy life for the 8 years I've had it. A 50mph motorway commute on the days when I didn't get the train and the odd weekend drive up north. While I enjoy cars, I don’t thrash them. Never driven with traction control off, track day’d or “launched” from standstill. It's spent the last 3 winters in a cosy barn. Still a great drive, I think again about selling it every time I get in. Well actually I think again every time I look at it! The good: Engine is great, starts immediately, even after weeks, ticks over smoothly, power is instant and delivered smoothly. Never needs oil topped up between services. Brakes work well and have plenty of life left The running gear is sound; tight with no knocking Everything works, including air con Alloys in good condition for age and never refurbed Due to age it has the lower tax rate Tyres all show even wear across width; 4.5mm on rears and 7.5mm on fronts The not as good: Rust spots on the rear arches Some paint chips and light scraps but no dents. See pics. Was repaired from Cat C in 2009. Minor offside front and rear wing damage replaced with Nissan parts. Have pictures, repairers write up and geometry test results. Full Service history Last service oil filters and coolant March 2021 All receipts since new It's always been run-on high-octane fuel Recent nonservice work: New windscreen March 2019 Boot struts March 2020 Ultra Racing Rear Lower W Brace March 2021 Aux belts March 2020 SS Flexible exhaust Y pipe 2017 Minor Mods: Polyurethane Banana compression arm Bushes Jap Speed stainless exhaust Ultra Racing Rear Lower W Brace Upgraded ICE, cost £1.5K+ Top of the range Pioneer head DEH-x8500DAB with Bluetooth, SD slot, USB, DAB(aerial not fitted) and handsfree(mic supplied, not fitted) JBL component door speakers Bespoke stealth sub box in OEM location with JBL sub driver Genesis Profile Four amp A renowned classic with a Gold upgrade done by the Ampdoctor(original designer) Upgraded preamp chips, caps and bias optimised for SQ Steering wheel control wiring harness Pure copper inter connects/cables. Direct power from battery Sound deadening sheet in doors and around sub All the original ICE comes with car Thanks for looking at my add.
  3. You'd need a brand specific wiring harness to get the steering wheel controls to work, seach Ebay.
  4. Hi Yoshi Welcome, as others have said you'll find the forum very handy if even just for the little things. I've had a 04 GT for 8 years but alas it's time to sell, keep you're eye of the for sale section. I'll be listing it there today or tomorrow depending on how quick I condense too much info into something coherent 🙂 Cheers
  5. 2004 350z Drivers side wing in blue. Must be pretty much rust free but don't mind the odd scratch. Thanks
  6. Just replaced my battery, hope this helps someone. The 350z battery bay will also take a type 096, also known as a type 100. To be specfic add an "L" suffix to define -ve polarity on the left. It's 278L x 175W and height varies depending on brand up to 190. I went for Exide Premium EA722 72Ah 720CCA 12v Type 096 Car Battery 4 Year Warranty for the grand total of £64 next day from Click Car Parts on Ebay. A good price considering the spec/brand/warranty.
  7. Possibly the fuel filter partially blocked and only letting a limited amount of fuel through ?
  8. They have indeed, no sign of any wear. Well while driving anyway. I do have to confess though my millage has dropped to under 4k pa but still I wouldn't have any qualms fitting them again.
  9. Had this issue a while back. Seems to made worse by a battery at the end of it's life. ie. Wasn't holding much charge so when the car was first started the alternator was under max load to get the battery up to where it should've been. Replaced the battery and tightened the belt. It's been ok for a few years now.
  10. Came back from a muddy festival field once with a nasty big nail at 45deg in one of my rear sidewalls. Virtually new rears, expensive trip that one as is illegal to repair there :-(
  11. Current discs beginning to get the wobbles I'm afraid Sent from my XT1039 using Tapatalk
  12. True but grooves make more noise and dust plus holes can cause cracking. So it's not all win win. Sent from my XT1039 using Tapatalk
  13. Can't say I'm particularly keen on grooves n holes but options seem to be limited without these. So you may have a point. Do the DS2500 pads take a lot of warming up to work ?
  14. I should mention I don't want pads that need to be hot before they begin to work as I have a very motion sick wife and sometimes I just have to trundle about at low speeds.....rarely braking.
  15. Ah good ol DBA, had them on my Fiat Coupe 20vt. The only ones that didn't warp. The Coupe had the same brakes as the Z but with small 16" poorly vented wheels that melted pretty much most discs Thanks guys, any more tips before I fire up Google for suppliers/prices ?
  16. I should concede though when I got mine the prices for OEM were pushing £300, there's been a hefty price drop. I wonder why....
  17. For the second time today I get to say, the search is pish
  18. Hi Al Failed to pull up anything using the less than google esq search..... Can anyone recommend some good value, reliable and not too prone to fading discs and pads please. Thanks
  19. £70, no worries: http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/86235-new-compression-arms-70/
  20. I replaced mine with on of those custom built boxes that fits the space the old one was in. It driven by an an in the glove box. These take a 10" sub. I used plenty of damping matting and don't really suffer from rattles. It wasn't too bad to fit it. The best bit is that is doesn't use boot space and is totally stealth. If you're not in any rush it's probably going to be up for sale in the next couple of months as the cars days are numbered :-(
  21. Suggest you put this in the correct forum
  22. Feel for you mate. I had a very similar experiance with them in Glasgow. Claiming to have left cards etc. My stuff was return to the supplier who then resent it only for the same thing to happen. Ended up cancelling my order. There's now two couriers that if I see a retailer using I won't order from; UKMail or Yelp. Retailers need to realise that using bad couriers looses them business. Cheerio
  23. Been on the car 14 months now and no indication of any issues. While not an indication of ultimate reliability certainly rules out early life failure due to poor materials. IMHO where bushes and joints are concerned any extra movement due to slack tolerances would quickly translate in to quicker wear and failure. I've also had no uneven tyre wear. I don't do track days but the roads around the city are in shocking condition. Patch upon patch and more craters than the moon. So I guess as reasonable test.
