Yeah I'd seen that thanks Rob. I don't have a great record getting a good fit for aftermarket things like that. But I may give it a bash is I can't find a cheaper second hand option. Cheers

or M brace depending on which way you hold it :-) Must have a few years life left it in obviously. Anything out there ? Thanks
  3. Hi Did you get anywhere with this ? DAB radios have two aerial connections; one for analogue and one for DAB signals. I believe most DAB radios have a SMB connection for DAB signals. The aerial you posted will just connect straight into a DAB radio with an SMB connection. I've had a DAB radio fitted for a year but never got round to fitting an aerial. Whenever I look at it I can't find an easy option that'll fit.
  4. Hi All I’m replacing my original Y pipe with an aftermarket stainless one. What’s everyone's thoughts on retro fitting the old Y pipe heat shield to the new pipe ? Thanks
  5. Message me with what you're wanting for both cats delivered please. Thanks
  6. Sorry I forgot to say thanks for your reply in previous post, all feedback is welcome. As you say that's the point of the thread. So anyway joining the dots here from "informed personal experience" to made in Taiwan I guess then you're saying "I've tired them and they aren't any good" ? Thanks.
  7. While yes I totally accept that the quality of these may be unknown highlighting everything coming from Taiwan is of poor quality is not really fair. In fact I'd be suprised if half the average car these days isn't made up of parts soruced from China and Taiwan. Just like you did on that phone, tablet or laptop you made this post with I'm interested in first hand experiance with these; good or bad. In a related point as our cars age and reduce in value it's parts like these that'll keep many on the road as current and future owners struggle to justify large amounts on OEM or upgraded parts when the car is only worth a few K. As an ex owner and active member of the Fiat Coupe club the same thing happened there as the car aged and more cars on the road helps to maintain a thriving comunity. Cheerio.
  8. Hi all Looks like pattern part compression arms are now available in the states. Ebay link. I haven't found a uk supplier yet. Thoughts anyone ?
  9. Bolt arrived yesterday thanks very much for the speedy service
  10. Hi there How much inc p&p for the two rear toe camber bolts ? Thanks
  11. Only having done 77k I hope the Cats haven't expired. Thanks for the offer, shame you're not local. This is the flaw in my plan, I'm only 5 mins from the station and I took it straight there first think. The tester let her idle up to temp, I didn't feel that was right at the time but didn't say anything. The best they could do advice he was to try an injector cleaner. Which incidentally he said would also make me more attractive to the opposite sex
  12. Hi AllFirstly apologies for posting this here instead of the Technical forum but my car is a daily driver so felt the extra attention traffic here would get me back on the road quicker. Mods feel free to move if you feel this is the correct thing to do.My 04 350z is standard except for a Japspeed cat back exhaust and it's just failed the MOT emissions test. I've got the previous years results and it passed well within all the appropriate limits. The has always been serviced as per the recommended schedule and runs well on the road. It has 77k on the clock. Can I have your thoughts please on how to address the following test results. Thanks very much for your time.
  13. Quite possbily you've melted the amp. This "mod" that you and others have done is simply firing speaker level(high) ouputs into an amp designed to take line level(low).
  14. What are the pro and cons of having this done ? Apart from the con of having to shell out £375 beer tokens that is :-)
  15. This seller is a liar and sells fake stuff. I recently ordered a 8 gauge amp kit from him. Not only was is way too small it was Copper Coated Aluminum (CCA) despite the listing boasting it was pure solid copper. The latter being the only reason I bought it. Had to waste a whole lot of time sending it back and getting a refund. If you want on amp kit get this or one of their bigger one: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/390647240047?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2649 Yes it's CCA but the size of a child's arm compare to the thread bare and fake crap I got from the other guy. If you really require a lot of power then get welding cable, lot of listing on Fleabay. btw to check you've got true copper cable just scrap it with a knife. If it goes silver then it's CCA.
  16. Hi All Just an update to this thread to those who may by reluctant to order all the way from Simon in Denmark. I bought his other sub box he had for sale and it's just arrived successfully in sunny Scotland. His communications were always prompt and friendly, I'd very much recommend him as a seller Cheers
  17. I've now got the adapters and they're a perfect match for the mounting holes in the door In fact they're a very like the OEM combined speaker and bracket but without the speaker. The depth is pretty much the same. The kit come with screws and wiring adapters, the latter doesn't fit the 350z harness though. The only mod I've had to make is enlarge the speaker wire cut out in the adapter to cope with the chunky new cable I'll be fitting that will come from inside the door. I've now fitted the speakers and it all feels reasonably sturdy. I'm expecting that when it's bolted to the door then it'll get even more solid. The adapters are made by Autoleads and the part number is SAK-3301.
  18. It was a while ago I got one. It was near the rest of the car/bike stuff. Thinking about it, if it's in poundland they'll be similar on Fleabay somewhere. Good luck.
  19. Looks nice but time consuming That'll be me then, got a pair on Fleabay for £6 last night I plan to fit stuff over the next week so I'll update this thread with the results.
  20. I wonder if you could glue the MDF rings to the door, thoughts anyone ?
