sjones14 Posted February 27, 2015 Posted February 27, 2015 Hi all - I have a 2008 350 and the exhaust has gone, joint between centre and rear section completely rotten. I want to fit something that's not particularly louder than the OEM but not sure what to go for. Definitely don't want to pay Nissan prices for a straight replacement, Cobra resonated looks good but I'm not totally clear from the you tube clips how different it'll sound. Any first hand experience, guidance, suggestions etc on what to replace with would be greatly appreciated! Cheers. Quote
RobPhoboS Posted February 27, 2015 Posted February 27, 2015 Scorpion is quieter than the Cobra (I had the Scorpion first), both nicely built, sound similar but the Cobra is louder, just looking at the back box you'll see that. Quote

Reasonable chance I'll be looking to sell in next 6 months so I don't want to spend a huge amount (c£400-500) which seems to put me in the Scorpion/Cobra bracket - Ark, Invidia etc look a little more pricey though do look good, maybe I should increase the budget! brillomaster Posted February 27, 2015 Posted February 27, 2015 best oem replacement would be a milltek, but since that's out of budget i'd go for the quieter scorpion exhaust. the cobra resonated is nice, but is a bit louder and can be a bit drony in the car around 2000rpm. 1 Quote

If you're looking to sell it in the next 6 months for definite then just get the best quality stainless steel budget exhaust you can, ...no point spending more money than you need to on something you're really only going to benefit from for 6 months. I'd say just get a Scorpion or Cobra as both are around £400 odd so great deals. See Tarmac Sportz or the Cougar Store (both in the trader section on here). 1 Quote
