This amazing bit of kit

:)

Stick to cars and modifying, cameras are so not your thing. Even on the cheap it's gone very bad.

Let me sort this "blue" problem out....... Maybe it's in tune with the release of 50 shades or something?

That's grey

May have found the problem

Just doing some tests - will post the results ;)

But it's in principle a "blue" movie

There has to be!

No you have 5 choices - auto, daylight, cloudy, tungsten or fluorescent some pics are fine some are crap the other camera was a lot better - especially for £20 but the auto focus is dying - mainly from paint and dust all over it

See my build thread today pics are randomly crap or ok 1 is really sharp - took some with the canon and they are all spot one

Well depending on your lighting in the shed, it'll be either of the last two which should ensure the white is close to white.

Auto probably gets confused if you have day light surrounding the shed but strong lighting inside it.

50 sheds of blue?

Nice shed by the way!

Thanks :)

Tungsten gives the blue effect - fluorescent is what I used to get the non blue tinged out of focus shots

I'm taking the camera back tomorrow it is not fit for purpose!

Older point and shoot digitals had a tendency toward a blue cast due to certain technical issues but that shouldn't be a problem in newer cameras less than 2yrs old.

White balance set to fluorescent will give a blue cast if photos are shot in daylight

Sounds like the white balance settings are up the creek!!

Did you get a different camera?

Not yet, was waiting for a refund as I bought it online - to fair they had refunded me before I got home though

Will have a look about and order something else soon.

Hey Chris I've got a little camera you can have. (FOC)

It's a Samsung S1050. It will do you as a workshop camera.

It takes a very good photo.

I've lost the usb cable but I just transfer photos via a card reader.

Normal Batteries don't last long.

I found rechargeable lithium ones last much much better.

If you want it give me a shout.
