What's it Worth?? 350z Roadster

Under strict rules and regs this is not a spammy ForSale advert and I do not wish anyone to PM me regarding any Prices / offers etc. your to post on here only! Only reason I have posted this topic is because I've been offered to have my low mileage Escort Cosworth back and the guy has kindly offered to take my zed in px as it is. So ideally was wondering how much as it stands or would it be worth me having it painted. He has agreed on a price so it's down to me now to follow through. So here we go:

2007/56 350z GT with Rev-Up engine covered 64k miles from new, part service history but mileage can be verified via vosa mot history. A slight recent accident occurred by shunting a car up the arse, (catD) no chassis, airbag or suspension damage but I have replaced rad pack, front plastic panel and front bumper, as the front bumper is aftermarket I had to replace the rear to follow suit. The car now stands on 20" Kahns. Car is in very good condition. so hit me with some sensible figures as in what you guys may think is sensible. I'm very tempted to stall the exchange and see summer through, may work out a win win situation :) here's some quick pics, I'm also open to your views on the kit whether you like it or not as I have a feeling it's gonna be like marmite should we say ;)e6e7uda5.jpgype6yjyn.jpgaradumyg.jpga6e9a3ez.jpgra3y5utu.jpg

Kit would probably look good if it was the right colour and you lost those atrocious wheels.

Being a Cat D car I'd say around 6k, especially with the part service history. Maybe even less if you don't have it sprayed although the kit does look a good fit.

I'd get it painted and put on standard wheels before I tried to sell it.

The problem with cat d's is that if anything happens, your insurance will only pay out 50% market value.

My 18" Rays would have looked to small so had no option really but to fit these, I know there's nicer wheels to be had but beggars can't be choosers as the saying goes ha.. ;)

I put a thread up recently regarding my 2007 roadster with 35k and full Nissan service history. UK GT model with additions of Sat nav etc.

Have been offered 7300 trade in, gutting to say the least.

Your body kit looks good though and having someone who wants your car in the first place is always an advantage. You would have thought a roadster would fly out at this time of year but school holidays are not the best time to try and sell.

As for the Escort Cosworth, got one of those too but it is mothballed. A great investment and well worth doing a deal on especially if was yours originally. The only way they are going is up, unlike the Zeddy

But they are no way shape or form an upgrade of 'Rays looking small' They just make the car look bad :sorry: (Least they match :p )

CatD + Needing a resrpay (And new wheels) I'd say £4k-£5k?

£5K - £6K.

Wheels are gash, mixed colours on the bodywork, on top of the Cat D status: It's not going to be a good figure.

The Rays would look fine on that, you've not got wider arches or anything.

Also, you say beggars can't be choosers but today is your lucky day because for a few mere pennies you can purchase yourself a set of Ultrashite wheels in delectable gold paint WITH tyres. The price I hear you ask? Why only £200 (shipping extra), I bet you're wondering what the catch is? There isn't one, it's just that no one but a beggar would adorn their car with them. :)

Looks terribly bodged together. Accident pics would be required to see what damage was actually done. You also have the wrong lights on it for a facelift btw, the correct lights have much more value.

They are the LED ones, aren't they?

Headlights I think he means.

Good spot Neil, I hadn't noticed the lights.

The more I think about this, the more I think I was being optimistic. Grundy's 4-5 looks to be on the money.

Well, unless you get someone particularly gullible who doesn't ask about the Cat D and the lights and the wheels and doesn't mind the two-tone look ;)

The car is not for sale, if the deal falls through on my previous owned escos I will be getting the zed painted and keeping it. As you know it's only 2 different colours as a donor car was used to source parts as it's worked out a lot cheaper that way. LED lights arnt a big deal to me and not is the Cat D as I know how minimal the damage was. How many owners on here have purchased previously damaged cars where insurers have decided to fix on keepers request which aren't categorised and paid top dollar? I'm happy with the car and will be even happier with it If I decided against the px and got it painted. After all it's a cheap car which is in excellent pre accident condition with sensible mileage. Part Nissan dealer service followed by specialist all stamped in the book. It was a risk putting these bumpers on but when the donor car came very cheap it was worth a try. In my opinion if you can see past the 2tone colours it will look pretty good.

Shades no need to pm me bud. The car in my opinion looks bodged together. This comes from; the wrong headlights, the wrong bumpers, horrible wheels and two toned paint. If it wasn't bodged it would have the correct lights, wheels, bumpers and paint along with a documented repair including photos. As said before, this is all in my own opinion.

I've been here long enough to spot something not right with either members or cars. Good luck to you fella. Just don't rip off some unsuspecting innocent with chat about it being a facelift when in reality you've almost removed everything facelift with the car, besides the interior.

The pics make the car look like it's not being repaired fully ie not spayed and it needs £1000 spray job give or take £££ .

When selling an car that's listed as CAT most people doing even look at it. So with that in mind just part ex it. But if it's a car you was going to keep finish it of and keep it . I love my roadster just saying :-)

Have i mentioned anything about it being a facelift? Did I hide the fact that it's catD? Have I stated the reason it being 2 tone?? I have pics of damage, I'm not trying to hide anything and don't intend to, I don't want to rip anyone off either. That's all I have asked for is a valuation and your opinion amongst others has been taken on board, personally I would have gone down the OE look but when you have parts hanging around I'm sure 90% of members here would have done the same? I don't expect the car to appeal to everyone. And as far as bodged goes because it's not bolted back with OE bumpers doesn't make something bodged, my understanding of bodged is incorrect alignment of panels, some dodgy filler/paint work and headlights pointing in all directions. Personally I think your being a bit harsh on myself rather than the post. But like I said everyone is entitled to there own opinions. Over the last couple of months I've spoken to a lot of members on here whether it's through private messages or posts ,there's also a few Ive know in person for many years and like you 2 where all here for one thing and that's the joy of cars.
