  1. Thanks but really after a standard car, looks stunning though. Maybe I should clarify I am after a coupe not roadster, colours would preferably be black, grey, blue with black leather as not a huge fan of the tan interior (no offence just a personal preference) Happy to wait for the right car and prefer to buy from a forum member. Thanks for the replies so far.
  2. Previously sold by evo motors on 3rd March this year, advertised at £8990 with 50k. Evo motors specialise in these cars and seems a fair price for the miles and one previous owner as was then. Isn't Google great, the things you can look up. At £5180 just over 2 months later and 1000 miles more, it is either a massive bargain or too good to be true. I have sent an email asking if I can view, no reply as yet.
  3. Don't know the car but my old one had the petrol cap button pushed in which I didn't notice until I first went to fill it up, very embarrassing! Wasn't a difficult job to have it popped out again and was all still connected just bad design I think on the dash and a bit fiddly.
  4. Also noticed that the mileage is 2000 less miles than advertised miles in those pictures, looks like an old PH ad to me, could be using old pics I suppose
  5. I'd also seen this, you can actually search google using images to see if there are any matches. I used the first image on the advert and it came back with 5 exact matches linking to past ebay adverts, so i'm fairly certain it's a scam. Does seem very cheap and no replies to messages or phone number to call? Maybe I will message again asking when I can view as I am only 10 miles away? There have been a few scams going on recently for Focus Rs cars, people are so keen to get ine they out a deposit down without seeing the car, turns out to be someone else's old legitimate advert and pictures normally lifted from Pistonheads and similar sites. Might well be genuine but you have to be so careful with everything these days unless you can see it in the flesh and do all the correct checks
  6. Now that I absolutely love and I am just back in the market for one. Have no idea what importing it costs and how much of a pain it is, will have to look into it
  7. I am looking to buy one too
  8. I emailed him asking about service history as it doesn't mention that, never got back to me. Could be that he is just a newbie to ebay as no feedback. No phone number to call either so can only contact by email and he doesn't reply. I am quite close to Southsea so was tempted to have a look, does seem very cheap, think I will give it a miss though.
  9. The last one was a DE so looking for 313 ideally.
  10. Well, I finally sold my Rs due to lack of time to use it. Now looking to get back into another Z. Have looked in the for sale section, nothing available that meets my requirements so if you are thinking of selling please message me. Looking for preferably a 313 or maybe a really nice 296. Must be GT model and mileage sub 50k, well looked after with full service history. Up to £10500. TIA!
  11. Oh well, after weeks of agony I decided to keep the Cossie. Every time I go and look at her, start her up and just drool over her I can't bring myself to let her go. Only one way these are going and that is up if they are pristine with full history and unrestored. She has an insurance agreed valuation and is tucked away in a heated unit with her coat on and a trickle charger. We shall see what happens in Spring and I may have a rethink then. She needs nothing doing to her and is paid for outright so I will just keep her for another 6 months and see what happens. Miss my 350z but will get another one day, the depreciation has made me think long and hard about getting another modern toy though. In the meantime, the Passat estate grits her teeth for harsh Winter and salty roads
  12. Have to agree about the scratch, even when there was a picture it would have put me off had I been in a position to buy it then. You will be amazed what a valeter can do with a little know how and skill for not much money he could get that scratch out. Had bad scratch on one of our dailies a few years ago, quoted for a bonnet respray by one guy then another came round and took the scratch out for £50! Brilliant job. Think it would make a big difference to your sale, I would definitely think why have you not had it done if it was that easy to do then you could get away with adding the cost to the price maybe? Looks a lovely car by the way, just think the car tax prices are putting people off these especially if you can't transfer the tax after 1st October, what a stupid law!
  13. I had an S2k GT with hardtop a few years back, worst car I ever owned. Seats were so hard and such a limited range it adjust them, everything was cheap plastic inside and I ended up taking the hardtop off as all it did was rattle, drove me mad. That was a low miler with FHSH. Performance was totally different, very revvy and you had to rev the bits off it to get anywhere with it, was so disappointed in that car for what they build it up to be, sold it after 2 months as it did my back in. The 350 is nice and torquey, much better build quality imho with all the toys as standard on a GT. Definitely try and test drive a couple of each car and make your mind up as they are so different honestly. Plenty of nice 350z's around for your budget, have a good look and take your time to find the one you want. As you say, service history is very important on any of these types of car, not necessarily full dealer but at least a good history with quality parts used and things like brake fluid and gear box oil changes, tyres are expensive as I am sure you know!
  14. Good point, and I often think that when the time comes I have to sell for whatever reason, I won't find it so easy...sod's law. Been doing my head in all day thinking about it, don't think these cars have peaked yet but maybe time to cash my chips and walk way, let someone else have the pleasure. Not a bad investment though for a few years,at least I can say I had one once.........
  15. I have a very nice rs turbo too, that get used more than the Cossie
  16. Well, it has gone up by 25% in the time I have had it, hence my dilemma. A few years ago they were difficult to sell but now there are so few original, rot free ones left with those sort of miles I have had loads of people approach me about it without even putting it up for sale. I know they are only going up in value but it is an expensive hobby for a car you daren't ever get wet. I even have to plan days ahead for a dry day every year for the MOT so it is a pain in that respect. Tempted to just cash my chips, buy a much cheaper zed and put the rest away. 5 years of hoarding it is enough now, let someone else use her and get some fun. Speaking to the guy over the weekend so will let you know what I decide. Will put a photobucket link up of the Cossie tonight. We could run a poll, sell or hoard!
  17. How many miles have you driven it in that time? Have you actually gotten any pleasure from the ownership experience in terms of driving, or is it just nice to look at? Sad thing in I have done less than 200 miles in all that time. I love to look at it but it is an expensive garage ornament. Yes, I have enjoyed it and bought it as an investment, have made something on it but I can't see the situation of using it more ever changing as when the shows are on in Summer we have always been busiest at work and being self employed just can't take the time off to go. Going to be hard but think you have all echoed my thoughts, thanks for the advice
  18. Keep convincing me.........know it makes sense but I have had the cossie 5 years so I will miss it but it costs me money every year just to keep it maintained. If I could find a really nice HR coupe it might just ease the pain and at least I could actually drive it without fear of it clocking up another mile or getting dirty lol.
  19. Just sold my 350z roadster which I dearly loved as we had to buy a sensible estate car so the toy had to go to fund it. I also own a stunning escort cosworth which is kept in storage and to be honest, never comes out except for a service and MOT. It has done 29k genuine miles with every MOT and loads of history from day one. Never welded, all original panels and paint, the car is immaculate and kept covered connected to an Optimate in heated, carpeted storage. Prices of these are climbing big time and through word of mouth I have had a very serious offer on it this week. My dilemma is do I just keep it mothballed for another few years never using it or just take the money now prices are good and release some more funds. The thought if being able to get another z with money left over is seriously tempting me........
  20. That's a very good price, they do come up used every now and again but for the small difference in price you will pay now between new and used I would go for new and save a bit longer.
  21. Ask Zmanalex, he can get them cheaper than Nissan, still around £300 ish iirc but still save you a bit
  22. It is clearly getting to you, if you do re space it you will dread using it even more and just waiting to get pulled and fined. Just put it on retention andlike someone else said advertise it on eBay, lot's of p*n#s liking people on there who will snap it up! Might even make a few quid out of it and buy a decent plate like V6 EEK!
