codders Posted July 10, 2014 Posted July 10, 2014 Hi, After 14 years of driving a 975kg MR2 2ZZ ( ), I'm now the happy owner of a 1500kg Zed ( ) Had the car for 2 weeks now and I'm still getting used to the size, torque, weight, heavy steering, crap gearbox ... but I'm starting love it in the same way I loved my 2. My 2 had a 2zz-ge engine conversion after the original engine (1zz) ate itself after 50k miles from new . It had 190bhp and revved to 8k. Loved it . Anyway, it was getting old and after 14 years it was time for a change. I'm getting old too and it was a bit manic as a daily commute. And here is my new purchase ... I'm based near Southampton so will be looking out for a local meet soon. Plans? 1) New tyres (may try Nokian zline) 2) Scorpion Cat back (standard exhaust is just too quiet) 3) Remap (I want my full 100% throttle in all gears ) Dave 1 Quote

Thanks, Just had a P3 (36k) service done by my local garage. I decided not to put the molyslip in .... but I may just change the oil again in a few thousand miles and see if it makes a difference.
