captain Posted October 19, 2013 Posted October 19, 2013 (edited) This looks silly cheap. £33500 http://dubai.dubizzle.com/motors/used-cars/porsche/cayman/2013/9/2/2012-cayman-r-under-porsche-warranty--2/?back=ZHViYWkuZHViaXp6bGUuY29tL21vdG9ycy91c2VkLWNhcnMvP3NpdGU9MiZzPU1UJnJjPTE0MCZjMT0tLSZwcmljZV9fZ3RlPTE1MDAwMCZwcmljZV9fbHRlPSZ5ZWFyX19ndGU9JnllYXJfX2x0ZT0yMDE0JmtpbG9tZXRlcnNfX2d0ZT0ma2lsb21ldGVyc19fbHRlPSZrZXl3b3Jkcz1DYXltYW4maXNfYmFzaWNfc2VhcmNoX3dpZGdldD0wJmlzX3NlYXJjaD0xJnBsYWNlc19faWRfX2luPVN0YXJ0K3R5cGluZytoZXJlJnBsYWNlc19faWRfX2luPSZhZGRlZF9fZ3RlPSZzZWxsZXJfdHlwZT0mY29tcGFueV9pdGVtX2lkPSZhdXRvX2FnZW50PQ%3D%3D&pos=1 PDK, sports chrono, sports exhaust, sports seats, nav and more. Anybody got experience who can advise if price is good. Oh yeah, finance is 2.49% so £6700 down and drive it away. Edited October 19, 2013 by captain 1 Quote
Ekona Posted October 19, 2013 Posted October 19, 2013 No idea. Possibly no aircon which would explain being cheap in Dubai, but I can't see a close up of the centre console to confirm. Quote
captain Posted October 19, 2013 Author Posted October 19, 2013 It has a/c. Drove it today and it is Gulf spec so nice and chilly. It's 39 degrees today so needed it. Looking on autotrader, in UK this car would surely be pushing 40k with that spec, mileage, FSH and warranty. The car is absolutely pristine and even after running my fingers under the front spoiler, couldn't fine a scrape anywhere. One stone chip on the passenger side wing mirror but that's it. Quote
WhackyWill Posted October 19, 2013 Posted October 19, 2013 Not that cheap if your going to import it to the UK, Dubai tax is a lot less than ours, you would have to pay Import tax and VAT on entry to UK, you would then have a L/H drive Porsche without European warranty. WhackyWill Posted October 19, 2013 Posted October 19, 2013 In that case why are you buying a second hand Porker, most people in Dubai buy a new one every year..,! Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk - now Free Quote
captain Posted October 19, 2013 Author Posted October 19, 2013 Seriously considering it. Would be a weekend car as hire a Focus for work. With petrol at £15 a tank running costs are a bit lower than uk though car tax in the form of tolls is about £700 a year!! Quote

spursmaddave Posted October 19, 2013 Posted October 19, 2013 Very nice, I expect the 2nd hand luxury car market over there is huge, plenty of choice but if the porker makes your tinky winky tingle then go for it Sent from the Jaaaaaag at the golf club YAAAARRRRRRRPPPPPPPPPP Quote
Wasso Posted October 19, 2013 Posted October 19, 2013 I don't normally like a Porsche apart from the gt3, but THAT does look nice Quote
Bockaaarck Posted October 19, 2013 Posted October 19, 2013 That's a cheeky little number. If you've checked it out and it looks clean and the finance conditions are good it's got to be worth considering Simon, lovely looking car. Quote
Ekona Posted October 19, 2013 Posted October 19, 2013 It's the best daily drive sports car released in the last few years, certainly. The level of feedback, balance and poise is remarkable. If my brother's one wasn't putrid green, I'd be tempted to have it off him once he's finished with it. Quote

captain Posted October 20, 2013 Author Posted October 20, 2013 Captain, do most people from Dubai buy their car cash? Edit, genuine question have always wondered this. Based on what my colleagues have done, it's either buy a new one on finance or the same 2nd hand. The rates are low for borrowing so why not. Cash goes on beer at £7 a pint and rent at £17k a year....... Quote

Very quick but then you've got the progressive thrills of pressing "sport" then "sports plus" then the"loud" button for extra exhaust noise. In Sports plus 0-60 is around 4.5 seconds. Quote

sipar69 Posted October 20, 2013 Posted October 20, 2013 A guy who works for Porsche and lives in my road had the R version for a while in that colour. Even though I'm not normally a Cayman fan, it did look and sound very nice. (Much nicer than that the dull grey new version of the standard Cayman that now lives in our road.) Quote
