Yampiedog Posted September 16, 2013 Posted September 16, 2013 £4.23 to fill up, 60 miles so far on about half tank... £17 tax Just a silly cheaper no brainer for work and back 20 mile round trip when I don't cycle it. 2 Quote

Yampiedog Posted September 24, 2013 Author Posted September 24, 2013 Am contemplating something similar Yes it is slow but it was a no brainer. I do realise though that in time it will lead to something more accomplished... Quote
Suits Posted September 24, 2013 Posted September 24, 2013 Am contemplating something similar I be dead in the hour on a bike. Quote
Yampiedog Posted September 24, 2013 Author Posted September 24, 2013 Am contemplating something similar I be dead in the hour on a bike. I also have that belief sometimes, just a question of extra awareness and treat every driver as though they are blind and incapable of driving! Quote
Suits Posted September 24, 2013 Posted September 24, 2013 I also have that belief sometimes, just a question of extra awareness and treat every driver as though they are blind and incapable of driving! Pretty much how I treat all drivers on the road anyway . Safe riding dude !! Quote
Flex Posted September 24, 2013 Posted September 24, 2013 Am contemplating something similar I be dead in the hour on a bike. That's no bike! No brainer for the economy! I dont think I could get on a Ped though, too emasculating Quote
ioneabee Posted September 24, 2013 Posted September 24, 2013 so - couple of sandwhiches and a pie, some orange squash and you'll get quite a bit more out her I reckon - once the hyper mode kicks in she'll go and go until lights out and maybe not even then Quote

ianphampton Posted September 24, 2013 Posted September 24, 2013 I drove a small bike (a little yellow Suzuki, we called her 'Bumble') like this to work when I first got married, it was great . . . .until it rained. And then it got to autumn. . . .and then November . . . .and it froze - No matter how carefully you dress, the rain WILL get in, and then it WILL run down your back No matter how many layers you put on, you WILL freeze your nuts off No matter how good your gloves, when you get off, you can't unclench your fingers because they're absolutely frozen solid It's great in the sunshine, but with the season we're in and winter approaching - well all I can say is "Good Luck" I can still remember it, even now, 30 years later, and as I pass gently by with the music and the heater on - drive a car, mate, it's worth the extra. 2 Quote
