dbass Posted September 3, 2013 Posted September 3, 2013 Awesome! Not bad on fuel on a run either. One question though? Car drives great, seems tight. But when in idle there is some sort of knocking noise, I popped bonnet and didn't seem like that. Noticed when I depress clutch sound gos... Thrust bearing maybe... Car has done 44000 approx Quote
Arran Posted September 3, 2013 Posted September 3, 2013 Perectly normal noise every z does it 1 Quote
Paddy78 Posted September 3, 2013 Posted September 3, 2013 Lightweight flywheel? Transmission is generally pretty noisy on the Zed, so no need to worry! Quote
tony.r123 Posted September 3, 2013 Posted September 3, 2013 Hi, mines the same as already mentioned normal for the Zed Quote
Stutopia Posted September 3, 2013 Posted September 3, 2013 Mine too. It's a sign your tunes aren't turned up loud enough. The Zed is the only car I've driven where you want the headunit volume to auto adjust inversely with engine revs. It should be really loud at idle and silent when you floor it! 2 Quote
dbass Posted September 3, 2013 Author Posted September 3, 2013 Also what is that hot smell when you put your foot down? Nothing major just a hot smell? Quote

WhackyWill Posted September 3, 2013 Posted September 3, 2013 Put a nice LOUD exhaust system on it and you wont notice.. perfectly normal Zed noise Quote
hensh65 Posted September 3, 2013 Posted September 3, 2013 Put the air con on when you idle or just keep it on, it will tick over perfect and 2 Quote

dbass Posted September 4, 2013 Author Posted September 4, 2013 Sounds like I need to get used to all these different noises! I can see why people love the zed though... For the money it's a lot of car.. Now all I need is to get used it Quote
A9H-RX Posted September 4, 2013 Posted September 4, 2013 Unless of course it rattles as loud as mine you may have triple plate carbonetics? Quote
