Headlights discoloured (yellow) - can they be cleaned up?

Hi,

I have a 2003 UK 350Z and part of the headlights seem to have a yellow tinge to them - I think it must be fading from the sun maybe? Is there anyway of polishing this colouring out? or is it just general wear and tear and you have to put up with it or change whole light unit.

Thanks

Get hold of some Meguiars Ultimate Compound and a good microfibre, brings them up really nicely. I used a polishing machine to do mine and they've come up really good.

If you're interesting in detailing, I can recommended CleanYourCar.co.uk, they have some really good products on there :)

Are there any uv protection solutions to apply after the hard work ? I did this a couple of weeks ago and the sun has already caused yellowing around the top.

p.s Waiting for some fool to say sun cream!

Not used it myself, but didnt somebody use some Gtechnic G4 ?

To be used on plastics only and has UV protection.

G4 is the glass polish, I think you mean C4 which is the trim sealant. C1.5 also works well.
