Richparry2009 Posted August 19, 2013 Posted August 19, 2013 Hi, I have a 2003 UK 350Z and part of the headlights seem to have a yellow tinge to them - I think it must be fading from the sun maybe? Is there anyway of polishing this colouring out? or is it just general wear and tear and you have to put up with it or change whole light unit. Thanks Quote
sloutrou Posted August 19, 2013 Posted August 19, 2013 Get hold of some Meguiars Ultimate Compound and a good microfibre, brings them up really nicely. I used a polishing machine to do mine and they've come up really good. If you're interesting in detailing, I can recommended CleanYourCar.co.uk, they have some really good products on there Quote

WhackyWill Posted August 19, 2013 Posted August 19, 2013 Any of the above will work, machine polish is the best, I have used MAG Headlight Restorer and it worked well. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/MAG-Headlight-Restorer-Polish-Cleans-Glass-Plastic-Lamp-Covers-Made-In-USA-/170744815298?pt=UK_Car_Accessories_Car_Care_Cleaning&hash=item27c12f1ec2 Quote
spursmaddave Posted August 19, 2013 Posted August 19, 2013 Any of the above or just cheap rubbing compound and some fine wet and dry litteraly a couple of quid and you will get just as good results with some elbow grease Quote
JackStrong Posted August 19, 2013 Posted August 19, 2013 Are there any uv protection solutions to apply after the hard work ? I did this a couple of weeks ago and the sun has already caused yellowing around the top. p.s Waiting for some fool to say sun cream! Quote
BulletMagnet Posted August 19, 2013 Posted August 19, 2013 Not used it myself, but didnt somebody use some Gtechnic G4 ? To be used on plastics only and has UV protection. Quote
ilogikal1 Posted August 19, 2013 Posted August 19, 2013 Not used it myself, but didnt somebody use some Gtechnic G4 ? To be used on plastics only and has UV protection. G4 is the glass polish, I think you mean C4 which is the trim sealant. C1.5 also works well. Quote
A9H-RX Posted August 19, 2013 Posted August 19, 2013 Flat and polish. Literally just done mine! LOL come up brand new! Quote
