Wet look wax/polish

Hi guys/gals,

 

Just wondering what you would say is the best product for giving the paintwork that wet glossy look. I use autoglym HD wax which I love but seen finishes on other cars looking better

I love Chemical Guys Pete's 53, really makes the black deep and glossy

I like dodo juice purple haze pro, but like the autoglm aswell

Natty's blue on top of Black Hole gives a great finish. I've seen great glossy finish with Blackfire Midnight Sun on black paint too. And Raceglaze Signature Black Label gives a great wet look. It depends on your budget.

Blackfire Wet Diamond is the trick. Frightfully pricey, but use that before your wax (I use DJ BV on my cars apart from the 911 which gets SV Zuffenhausen) and it will give you the exact look you're after. It really is stunning stuff.

 

That said, it's all in the prep. A simple wash/wax procedure won't do it, you need to be prepping and cleaning the paint properly first before adding any sealant.

You probably shouldn't look at the price of SV Crystal Rock then... let alone their expensive waxes!

Products don't add much. Unless you're talking Zaino - which rules on well prep'd paint

I will try the wet diamond thanks guys.

 

I normally spend a good few hours on the prep before I seal ( wash, dry, clay, cleanse then wax maybe a super resin polish before the wax if I have the time.

I found this stuff gave a great wet look even with little prep work, http://www.meguiars.co.uk/product/209/NXT-Tech-Wax-20/ downside was the finish didn't last anywhere near as well as a hard wax

Yep rich that's what Iv used for years and grown to love it

 

I combine it with a hard wax to get better protection and extra gloss. Then alternate between waxes in between

I have tried all products on the market from simoniz to chemical guys to swizz wax to meguiars to do do.....Best products on the market by far is Zymol hands down, If your as rich as hell try vintage that comes in at 2k+ yes 2k+ but the end result is the best you could ever possibly imagine, Little wax worthy of making your look like showroom and a fresh respray last a year. Best every day use wax zymol japon or a swiss wax equivalent

 

If you can stretch and get zymol concours £200 a tub then you will faint when you see your cars end result.

 

As for super resin polish Autoglym SRP Best value for money, Dont foget to use a menzerna/o cutting compound before though. Will take all day.

Fair shout to all of you who go the extra mile and buy the best cleaner/polish/wax you can afford. On a day to day basis have to say that Meguirs Products hit the mark for me. They give a good result and you still have change in your pocket to buy a round of drinks down the pub

R222 Carnauba Wax - gives a great wet finish once the surface has been correctly prepared. It matches wax which is many times more expensive. Here's a pic with it on my Z -
