Going to get these done soon but wanting to go a different colour for my Azure.post-18832-136943074657_thumb.jpgpost-18832-136943077485_thumb.jpgpost-18832-136943081693_thumb.jpg

Undecided on colour as yet was thinking of a gloss black but seem to lose detail in pictures I've seen. Now looking at shadow chrome or black chrome look but I like the polished centre's and rims . Finding this a hard decision at the moment which way to go.Any idears fellas.

Need to have mine done also, but would definitely like to keep them as they rolled out the factory!! It's just finding a company up to the job without it costing a fortune!

If we found a quality refurb shop at decent money could always look at a group deal ....

Have a look at the wheel specialist. They did my rays, but I'm certain they'd be able to do the polished lip etc. The Leeds branch were really good and they have quite a few other locations. They had some Fezza wheels and a GT3 RS in when I went, so I figure they know what they're doing. They were pretty good value too as 4 wheels was under £300.

In the same boat with my lmgt4s wasn't sure whether or not to change colour or stick with original and if original then diamond cut or just powder coat. Still not sure. Going to speak to wheel specialist in Dyce in a few days to see what the costs will be.

Just taken mine in

Rota bronze with a diamond turned lip

Stripped, blasted, heated and primed, baked, top coated and baked,

Diamond turned

Lacquered and baked again.

All but the initial strip is done in house.

Reasonable too @ £65.00 each

Get them back on Saturday.

Good find, going to call them later, are you having the centres diamond cut again or just the lip and can they put the very small lines in the finish that the nismo's have or are you just having them done smooth?

Hi Guys and Girlies,

Does anybody know off a refurber in the Reading area that can do a good job on GT4 wheels?

I had a bad refurb job a few years ago that left them really soft.

Just changed the tires and the wheels are wrecked round the rims were the paint hasn't been baked proply!!! Grrrr

Any ideas???

Thanks guys and girls :)

Had them done smooth and without the centres turned.

Be careful of the Bronze colour as the wheel cannot be touched up or blown in when being coated.

I have some corrosion on the sides of the spokes which has bubbled (outgassed in the oven) slightly on the colour coat under the lacquer.

Might go silver or black chrome on the next set with the centres turned too.

Darker colours or silver can be filled and blown in before the lacquer goes on.

overall a good job though, ill get some pics up later.

"Ken" on here has had his GT4 alloys refurbished recently and looking at them at the Wales weekend they looked superb, so might be worth asking him. ;)

Personally, I would not be put off by travelling as having the right job done and being happy with the outcome for me is far more important that a bit of extra time/cost.
