So my local HPC has one in finally. Had a look around it. Wasnt that bothered about it tbh. Dont get me wrong its a nice car but it didnt excite me the way i thought it might. The wing on it is awesome though and the exhaust looks good to, didnt get to head it though.

I've worn an MX5 t-shirt whilst in the '5, and worn a 911 one whilst driving that :blush: They're the PH outline drawing ones, so not too tacky, but still verging on the side of naff for sure!

Now I feel mean. To be fair I did once contemplate ordering a 370z t-shirt from Amazon :)

Verging on?!?! that is mega naff!! I once wore a rocket red McLaren victory shirt a few years ago. when I saw the day glow hue lighting up the head-lining of my car I decided to shelf it forever. now it's in the clothes bin at the local Asda (other supermarkets are available)

I quite fancy a [Hoonigan] shirt though.

For 10k more on an f type you 50 more hp and a few other bits and bobs, personally for a nismo version i would expect to see 50hp increase, weight reduction better brakes and the body kit. the suspension didn't need to be any firmer at all but maybe a tweak here or there to reduce to of that engine understeer!! thats my 2p worth anyways. and yes your right i would be a little self concious driving it around over the standard. i think i would prefer to get a normal one and look into weight reduction and tuning. for 10k i wonder what you could do with that engine?!!

Where can we get the F Type for 44.5k, new? That'll be an interesting link :lol: I reduced weight in my 370 by not taking passengers, the suspension does need de-Americanised, not that bad, granted but you take a highspeed bend on a track with stock over modified and it's a big difference, a simple set of Eibachs sorted this.

As I've said before, I spent over £3.5k on my 370, bought new, and got some BHP and Torque, no body kit (the one everyone will be looking for in the future is on the Nismo, you must see one in the flesh to appreciate this}

One thing that may be required on a Nismo is a better sounding exhaust, but remember, you're getting more BHP, torque, better suspension set up, better braking (lots of GTR parts used here}, gorgeous Nismo wheels, that body kit and a nice badge.

I sometimes find it hard to comprehend, why there is a fair bit of hostility towards this Nismo?!? All the talk of this and that is better, for another £10k (sheer fantasy, get the option list out, that'll make it 20-25k more) is complete nonsense, mostly because, the same people have probably never driven what they compare, or if they have, only for a very short while.

Dan's a great supporter of Porsche, which I completely understand and, having looked at, sat in, test driven and nearly bought one for £49.9k, it would have been a compromise, as the one I wanted, that was a keeper for life, was the correct spec but the cost, to you and me sir was £65k, yes, £65k, that'll be two Nismo's then.

And before anyone says it's twice the car, it's not, it's a different class, that's for sure, but not twice the car.

Anyway, where can I get this mystical F Type for 44k? No I can't find one either.

http://www.jaguar.co.uk/f-type/ and go to the F Type drop down menu, starts from £58 and a bit K

My apologies if I ruffled some feathers there - not sure why there was an edge of hostility, maybe I'm just bein a big girl haha nevermind.

I think my post was being mis interpretted. My point was that for 10k more on the base model of an f type you step up to the v6 s which as we all know gets you around 50hp more and the dynamic set up system etc etc. However my point was I wonder how much you could do yourself with 10k to tune/mod/improve a 370z. (if you were in a position to do so) for example 10k could possibly buy you a supercharger if you wanted to go totally overboard lol however would you have enough left over then to tweak/change the suspension to handle the increased power, brakes n all that jazz. I wasn't saying the f-type was only 10k more than a nizmo, that's redinky dink as you say my friend haha. And at the moment I know the ins n outs of a ducks arse when it comes to the F-type these days (which is why I've been harping on about them) i spent 2 months trying to spec one up with a family member (who has just took delivery btw. absolutely stunning & the noise when you set it all to sport n dynamic.... I actually don't know how they got away with allowing it haha).

Anyway personally I would have liked to have seen more power from the nizmo maybe 340-350 whp, that was my issue with it. Other than that it does look good, and the suspension/brake set up would help on track as you say. Nizmo is supposedly the motor sport arm so I suppose people just expect more when they badge the car with nizmo. On the other hand the only problem I see with the nizmo is, I'm not sure I could take my brand spanking new one on a track lol, even though it's set up for it. Maybe after a few years I would seriously consider it but personally I would prefer to buy something cheap while I was learning more about track racing in the real world (rather than forza & or gt5 lol). So essentially for me it would be more of a road car and on the road I would prefer more power, better brakes and (i don't know much about these things) the suspension is stiff enough as it is. I think (again only my opinion) spending the money you save on a nizmo to do some tweaks n stuff to your own maybe the better/possibly more fun way of doing it. By the time your in a position to do so your cars probably already out of warranty anyway so why not?! Anyways I'm only throwing things out there for people to think about and discuss not pushing my ideas as gospel :)

The Porsche you looked at, what extras did it have on it to make it to make it £15k more than the one you were looking at? PDK things like that? Or was it a totally different model? Weren't there any finance options available to reduce the hit of the increase? I know what you mean about getting your perfect car when you see it you see it and it's hard to look back at an option that doesn't quite match what you want. In the end I paid a lot more for my 370 than I first budgeted and yea it does skint me a little more than I wanted each month but luckily at the moment I'm in a position that I can cover it and I haven't had to compromise!

I'll try re-reading my posts next time to make sure I'm totally clear where I'm coming from. Sometimes I just race ahead thinking everyones on the same wavelength and really I've totally left out what I meant haha.
