A very memorable figure. Didn't he also do like a load of marathons even in the later parts of his life. I always remember his "now then now then now then"

Proper eccentric, met him when i was a kid and my Dad was in Stoke Manderville :thumbs:

 

I have fixed it for Jim to see the scouts on the rollercoaster again :lol:

I didn't grow up with him but obviously know of him, seems we're left with some really poor presenters these days, it's a shame. He seemed like a really generous guy. RIP.
