Maccaman Posted September 17, 2011 Posted September 17, 2011 Well it finally happened. Went out to the car this morning and it didn't fire first time, which it as always done. After that it was a dead duck, showing about 9/10 amps on the pod. Had to wait for my son to finish work before a trip to Halfords to buy a calcium battery (£94.99). Fitted, when we returned, and everything back to working fine Quote
DoogyRev Posted September 17, 2011 Posted September 17, 2011 Thats not a bad run for a battery ..... another seven years to go Quote

Chris`I Posted September 18, 2011 Posted September 18, 2011 My battery lasted just over 6 years, so they can go for a while. I thought this was going to be another "bye bye" thread Quote

bronzee Posted September 18, 2011 Posted September 18, 2011 Wow, Macca, that's a good run on the original one. Got about 4.5 years from mine, but we may have marginally different batteries over here or something silly. Quote
JetSet Posted September 18, 2011 Posted September 18, 2011 But all the more reason it should have expired. Yeah, my first battery lasted about 2 and a half years, just 5.5k on the clock. I left mine standing for a month while I was on holiday and the battery wouldn't hold the charge after that. Pete Quote
SteveW Posted September 19, 2011 Posted September 19, 2011 Mine lasted 6 years so nearly there, had to replace it last year. Got a Varta gold top I think. Good battery. Quote
