had ham Posted July 17, 2011 Posted July 17, 2011 Forgive me for my sins 2 years ago I was pursuaded by my good lady wife to forgo my last 350z and to purchase a sensible 4/5 dr car. For family purposes it appears. So I did. I bought a 414hp Lexua IS-F. Which was nice, fast, and very 4 door. Oh, and in 8k miles, has averaged 12.7MPG Having bought my eldest son his first car to learn in (whoopee, a 94hp 1.4 Punto Sporting!) it suddenly dawned on me that I no longer need more than 2 seats as I can, when needed, use the Punto (the bloke who named it 'Sporting' must have been on the vino when he thought that one up) when I have to transport more than 2 of the brood. So hello again, I should be, by next Friday, a proud owner of a new 370Z GT cabrio. Only problem is, I didn't check the colour carefully (cancelled order so got it very cheap), was told 'Black Rose' so thought "black , ok, no problem"... nope...... ...It seems I have bought a purple car. Oh well, should be nice Quote
Stoker11 Posted July 17, 2011 Posted July 17, 2011 Hi and welcome back, hope the colour looks ok Quote
SteveRS Posted July 17, 2011 Posted July 17, 2011 I thought the Punto sporting was a 1.2 16V engine. I had one when i was 18. Quote
had ham Posted July 17, 2011 Author Posted July 17, 2011 I thought the Punto sporting was a 1.2 16V engine. I had one when i was 18. It doesn't even feel as powerful as a 1.2! Horrid thing, but the log book definitely says 94hp 1.4 Dynamic Sporting. It was cheap . Quote

bronzee Posted July 18, 2011 Posted July 18, 2011 It's definitely not purple, Black Rose is quite different. Gorgeous colour and looks amazing when freshly waxed. Quote
had ham Posted July 18, 2011 Author Posted July 18, 2011 Thanks for the welcomes, and thanks for posting that link up - I actually quite like the colour, not as purpley as I thought! Quote
