lomoto Posted October 24, 2006 Posted October 24, 2006 No worries fella, I havent honestly added it all up. Alot of money. Whatever you think these things are gonna cost, it always ends up more. Its a credit to your enthusiasm and energy.., never mind what it cost Quote
Baptist Posted October 24, 2006 Author Posted October 24, 2006 Thanks fella. There is nothing that is as attractive for me, for the money. I nearly bought a Noble at one point, then i thought about a 911 turbo, but i kept coming back to properly fettling my Zed. Glad I did, its great. Quote
Liam's Z Posted October 24, 2006 Posted October 24, 2006 Back end whipped out doing 80 in 5th Jesus mate she looks stunning Can you possibly add anything else to that list??? Fastest UK ZED??? Quote
Baptist Posted October 24, 2006 Author Posted October 24, 2006 Might be a couple of other things, just odds and sods though. Quote
Removed Posted October 24, 2006 Posted October 24, 2006 fantastic numbers, I hope to be able to topple that from the throne, one day the kit is common though, although I've always liked the Nismo shapes. great idea in sourcing urethane parts! Well done! (and deep wallet indeed) Quote
Baptist Posted October 24, 2006 Author Posted October 24, 2006 In all honesty, more power than this is just a waste of time, i cant run full boost at the moment, in the current climate, in fact, nowhere near. Not seen many cars looking like that in the UK, myself. Quote
steve_b Posted October 24, 2006 Posted October 24, 2006 Looks awesome, very very nicely done. Would be interested to see it in the flesh on a track, do you think it is better then the new GT3 RS, if so then surely it did not cost no way near the 95k. Quote
steve_b Posted October 24, 2006 Posted October 24, 2006 You going to do anything special with it, track, race series (britcar), D1 or the Pod etc. Quote
Baptist Posted October 24, 2006 Author Posted October 24, 2006 Might do the odd track day, its my daily car, though. Quote
M13KYF Posted October 24, 2006 Posted October 24, 2006 Might be a couple of other things, just odds and sods though. what some go faster stripes Quote

From what ive read I didnt think the internals were needed to run the kit. But the kit ive been reading about "only" had 440bhp. Im guessing the internals were need for the fact that it has 510bhp? Quote
Baptist Posted October 24, 2006 Author Posted October 24, 2006 400bhp is touch and go with the standard internals, especially with the TT kits, as the torque they produce is very hard on the conrods. Ive held my standard rods and they are like straws, unbelievably thin. Big ends were showing early signs of wear after 14k miles on the engine, with the TT kit on as well. Quote
captint Posted October 24, 2006 Posted October 24, 2006 Holy moly Smith and Jones Thats a legend. I know its a bit pass'e but what sort of 0-60 do you think you could run. Looks fantastic mate. Quote

captint Posted October 24, 2006 Posted October 24, 2006 Oh yes, it look the a holy sh!te of Z performance. I don't know how much it weighs though so it could be even better!!!!!!!!! Quote
ir_fuel Posted October 25, 2006 Posted October 25, 2006 It might be better than a GT3 RS if it can match its weight. Straight line performance is a different story of course, but for cornering and braking the weight is also something that needs to be considered. But i ll say it again, amazing piece of car there. I could live with "just" the "under the hood" modifications Must be awesome Quote
sl114 Posted October 25, 2006 Posted October 25, 2006 Now that is cool! I'll buy it off you for £18k and a lolly? Seriously such a credit to you buddy, i can imagine all the work, sweat and tears that went into this car and it is something in the future i would like to acheive. Looking at your list i can take a stab at what you have put towards it and for what you have got, its worth every penny. I hope to meet you at a meet sometime when i get my zed and compare notes and tricks etc...what to go for, what not to go for and everything else. Quote
