you can change the bulbs, to a different kelvin setting but to be honest it doesn't make a massive difference. the headlights are just genrally crap.

if you have the cash upgrading to the facelifted bi-xenons do make a big difference. but its not cheap.

Yup - bi-xenons are the only way to go really, but not a cheap option.

Are you sure they're not just angled down too much? I found mine were too low and when I aimed them up they were much better.

best to go to an MOT test station, they have the correct equipment to get the correct legal level.

you can do it at home with the car facing a wall or the garage door. but it will take the MOT guy about 2 minutes. and probably cost you nothing.

I tend to line mine up based on having the cutoff on the top of other peoples number plate. Seems to give enough throw down the road, and also doesnt blind oncoming traffic

Also worth moving the headlight adjuster up to the maximum legal limit, or ask a friendly MOT garage to do it for you.

I looked to do this to mine today as mine seem to point down way too mutch. Couldnt find the adjuster anywhere. Can anyone tell me or post a pic on where it is.

Should have done a search before asking the dumb question.

Found the answer in about 0,1 nanosecs.

I have upgraded mine and the difference is very significant. If you see any for sale they are well worth the money.

Are these just a straight swap?

should be if your putting UK lights in a UK car. think there were wiring alterations to be made to some of the pins on the connector when fitting UK lights to a JDM. but get confirmation from one of the electrical boys. husky at Akira Designs might be able to clear things up.
