spursmaddave Posted December 8, 2010 Posted December 8, 2010 Watched the second episode tonight hoping it would be better than the first... It wasn't Seem's he is a one trick pony after all, and as for the stand up bits well it is hardly off the cuff as it is the same material as in his live DVD... His DVD is genuinely funny and shocking but the TV series.... Quote
Cragus Posted December 8, 2010 Posted December 8, 2010 He is not popular up here after continuing with concert even when nobody could make it. .....IT WAS TOTAL GRIDLOCK (Jamaican style voice) Quote
Neilp Posted December 8, 2010 Posted December 8, 2010 not feeling it anymore, same jokes over and over,.... kevin bridges ftw, and jimmy carrs new one that was filmed in glasgow (i was in the audience) Quote
Stew Posted December 8, 2010 Posted December 8, 2010 I'm not the biggest Frankie Boyle fan. He's not bad on the stand up stuff but that TV show was absolute rubbish! Quote
spursmaddave Posted December 8, 2010 Author Posted December 8, 2010 not feeling it anymore, same jokes over and over,.... kevin bridges ftw, and jimmy carrs new one that was filmed in glasgow (i was in the audience) I downloaded a few comedy DVD's the other day, have to say Kevin Bridges one was very very good... Billy Connelly is past his Sell-By-Date Haven't watched the Bill Bailey one, have high hopes for that Quote

Neilp Posted December 8, 2010 Posted December 8, 2010 lol, i love the "this is my daughter destiny" you have to understand the nightclubs up here... this is my son the garage.... soo soo funny if your from here Quote
Ricey Posted December 9, 2010 Posted December 9, 2010 I saw him live in Manchester in Oct........he was amazingly funny.........however - I know comedians recycle their jokes......he literally repeats his stand up word for word on his TV shows. Kind of takes anything special away from seeing him live Quote
djrm Posted December 9, 2010 Posted December 9, 2010 Kevin Bridges is brilliant... 'What's that?? Your Dad eft you?? Your Mum's a crack addict??? Don't worry, never mind, have a glockenspiel!' Genius! Quote
Gball1973 Posted December 9, 2010 Posted December 9, 2010 Kevin Bridges FTW Still cant beat some Rikki Fulton though, but i guess some of you guys down south may not have seen him Quote
LRF4N Posted December 9, 2010 Posted December 9, 2010 Rikki foulton lol legend. My fav British comedian is Lee Evans Quote
Stew Posted December 9, 2010 Posted December 9, 2010 Rikki Fulton is a legend. I still think probably the best comedy of recent years is 'Still Game' Quote
