thebesh Posted July 16, 2010 Posted July 16, 2010 Hi Guys Had the car for about 2 weeks now. Washed it last wknd, but after burning it up the past week there was a load of dead flies on the front and some bird lovingly shat on the bonnet this morning so I thought I would treat the car to a wash (went and bought the meguiars lambswool mitt + drying cloth + meguiars car shampoo and conditioner (sounds more like vidal sasson)) So FINALLY here are some pics of my car - ENJOY!!! Ebized Posted July 16, 2010 Posted July 16, 2010 Looks good You do know after you wash it you have to take it for an obligitory drive, to fully dry it out of course Mind you, end up with a load more flies so you have to start all over again Quote
SunGodRA Posted July 16, 2010 Posted July 16, 2010 what colour is your car - it looks a really dark blue or is that the sky reflecting on your super black shine Quote
thebesh Posted July 16, 2010 Author Posted July 16, 2010 It's "midnight blue" apparently - - I didn't do the wheels or the exhaust as I'm "ahem" working from home just now, so didn't have time. I plan to do some hoovering inside the house and a wee dash inside the car before I clock off at 5pm - I'm paying the cost for being the boss ;-) Quote
M13KYF Posted July 16, 2010 Posted July 16, 2010 thought the wheels looked dirty but couldn't believe you had not done them Quote
thebesh Posted July 16, 2010 Author Posted July 16, 2010 Bird @*!# was the priority - it really needs a clean inside. I've never obsessed over a car I've owned as much as this - I can honestly see me washing it again this wknd as I just did a quick job on it! By the way whats the protocol for washing Mitt and Towel - suggestions ? (is it just cold water rinse?) Quote
jacr87 Posted July 16, 2010 Posted July 16, 2010 Nice Work, Buddy Got yourself a nice motor. The best colour IMHO. Quote
Ebized Posted July 16, 2010 Posted July 16, 2010 By the way whats the protocol for washing Mitt and Towel - suggestions ? (is it just cold water rinse?) You winding us up now after your other thread which went to town on the washing options and examples viewtopic.php?f=22&t=38757 Quote
thebesh Posted July 16, 2010 Author Posted July 16, 2010 HAHA - I did do a lot of homework, but I don't think I read anything about cleaning Mitt and Towel after - I notice the label on towel said you can wash it with similar products but not to use fabric softner! They are currently hanging from my towel rail in the kitchen to dry off Given the car a good hoover and clean with a damp cloth inside as well now - I wish my mind was as clean as the car! Quote
narcotix Posted July 16, 2010 Posted July 16, 2010 Good job mate .. I love that colour too! Need to get yourself a stubby aeril though ... LoL Quote
DoogyRev Posted July 16, 2010 Posted July 16, 2010 Nothing better than a nice clean Zed Great colour choice too Quote
Stew Posted July 16, 2010 Posted July 16, 2010 Post some pics when you've done it properly! Not a bad start but those wheels need a bath! Quote
clarkie34 Posted July 16, 2010 Posted July 16, 2010 Paintwork looks mint. Try doing more than half a job next time though. Quote
