tez162003 Posted June 26, 2010 Posted June 26, 2010 Day 1 of 350z ownership - standard exhaust Day 10 of 350z ownership - Japspeed K1 - the ill fitting k1 with its short tips that make the cans sit in the bumper holes. although it was awesomely loud, the fit was shocking as you all know. apparently my bumper moulding being wrong... finally it has come back off, but in its place is... Day 24 of 350z ownership - a awesome Buddy Club Pro Spec III Y cat back. The quality is mega on this! those welds are perfect and fit, although a tad of adjustment needed, is good. twin exit exhausts, vain of my life! who says my bumper holes are wonky.. horrid K1 can vs Buddy Club (well k1 is okay, just the cans are too short as well as the mega short tips) installation, who needs a ramp! Was a bit upset at first about the quieter exhaust, but the k1 was just loud noise, didnt sound too nice, where as the buddy club is still loud, but what an exhaust note Any one else on here got one? friddela Posted June 26, 2010 Posted June 26, 2010 Looks lovely. How much did it set you back if you don't mind me asking? Quote
Pimm Posted June 27, 2010 Posted June 27, 2010 AdrianK had one and it sounded BUT more importantly he was at a rolling road/dyno and his pushed out the most bhp due to the buddy club being/having the best airflow !! I want one Quote
Biggy Posted June 27, 2010 Posted June 27, 2010 Wow, that looks more a work of art rather then an exhaust Quote
lrh Posted June 27, 2010 Posted June 27, 2010 Stunning quality Why do people spend twice as much on a Nismo Quote
Beavis Posted June 27, 2010 Posted June 27, 2010 Why do people spend twice as much on a Nismo They dont always.Got mine imported from the states for £700 a few years ago Buddy Club looks Quote
Gizmo-R Posted June 27, 2010 Posted June 27, 2010 Hellloooo?!?!? Can you hear me???? BC Prospec are mighty loud! Had one on my EP3 CTR and was hated within a 3 mile raduis of my neighbourhood! But boy does it look like a quality bit of kit! Quote

I want one i never thought of exhausts giving real power gains, but i can feel a difference. proberly just me imagining it. i only ever thought manifolds and cats were where the restrictions were. High flow cats please and yes it is loud, but i started to get used to the K1 so this seems quiet when driving, although when im stationary and rev it, it does sound loud Quote
andlid Posted June 27, 2010 Posted June 27, 2010 Looks nice, want that jack lift and stands! Can we now please hear it? :-) Quote
TADDY Posted June 27, 2010 Posted June 27, 2010 looks awesome think this will be the way im going soon. was this bought on my reccommendation? Quote

rtbiscuit Posted June 27, 2010 Posted June 27, 2010 said many a time that the buddy club was a better option and only marginally more expensive than the japs eye stuff. Quote
Chris`I Posted June 27, 2010 Posted June 27, 2010 said many a time that the buddy club was a better option and only marginally more expensive than the japs eye stuff. +1 - I saw Adrians being fitted (as I pilfered his Nismo ) and the quality was top notch. Sounds was great too, as said above, its loud but not just noisy as the K1 is. Well done on stepping up to a quality exhaust Quote
mplavery Posted June 27, 2010 Posted June 27, 2010 Looks much better fit then the K1, you going to post a sound clip of the exhaust ??? Quote
Ian Posted June 27, 2010 Posted June 27, 2010 Finally, someone has bought a well made exhaust Atleast this one won't rust by the end of winter Quote
tez162003 Posted June 27, 2010 Author Posted June 27, 2010 thanks guys, good to know it was a good purchase, would still like to pull the right hand exhaust over a tad more, but that is me being insanely picky, talking a mm or 2 max lol i shall try get a video of it soon, dont actually have a video camera, or a video phone, damn the iphone 3g. i should really get a newer one. tez162003 Posted July 3, 2010 Author Posted July 3, 2010 definatly keeping this exhaust. now its been used for a couple of weeks, i love the noise. Gunna cost me a fortune now though, as i drive everywhere changing gears bit later just to hear that exhaust lol Quote

Adriank Posted July 14, 2010 Posted July 14, 2010 I too had a buddy club as said, with Berk Sports CAT's the sound was immense and it made good power, getting 290.1 bhp... Was a great exhaust, good choice mate. Quote
spursmaddave Posted July 14, 2010 Posted July 14, 2010 Just had this exhaust fitted at Abbey. All I can say is wow what a quality bit of kit and it sounds superb! I was going to go with the masses and get a scorpion but I'm glad to be different and it wasn't all that much more expensive. I will get some pics up when I can. Quote
