stevo1179 Posted May 25, 2010 Posted May 25, 2010 Spotted this one http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll? ... K:MEWAX:IT Looks very nice, though a bit low, how much do you think it is worth? Thanks, Steve Quote
Sarnie Posted May 26, 2010 Posted May 26, 2010 The owner of that car is a recently new member on here, he bought it after writing off is rx8 i think.....those are the worst offsets i have seen in a long time Quote

Simon+Kat Posted May 26, 2010 Posted May 26, 2010 wow, what were the chances of taking that snap...just as a lady stumbled right in front of the car?! Quote
stevo1179 Posted May 26, 2010 Author Posted May 26, 2010 Being a little wet behind the ears with this 350z game comments advice are appreciated. I did think the front wheels looked a little odd, massive camber? Quote
Ian Posted May 26, 2010 Posted May 26, 2010 Being a little wet behind the ears with this 350z game comments advice are appreciated. I did think the front wheels looked a little odd, massive camber? No, just crap offsets. nothing a set of 15/20mm spacers wouldn't fix Quote
CaptainSensible Posted May 26, 2010 Posted May 26, 2010 So it's a Cat C and the latest owner is looking to sell it on after a very short period of ownership. That makes me wonder..... Quote
andlid Posted May 26, 2010 Posted May 26, 2010 a bit weird, could be ok though... but be a bit on the careful side yeah? Quote
Dene8 Posted May 28, 2010 Posted May 28, 2010 So it's a Cat C and the latest owner is looking to sell it on after a very short period of ownership. That makes me wonder..... Sets my spider senses tingling straight away...... Could be a genuine reason tho' Quote
stevo1179 Posted June 4, 2010 Author Posted June 4, 2010 Found another, far better in my opinion, seems a little too cheap, even for a cat c. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll? ... K:MEWAX:IT Quote
rtbiscuit Posted June 4, 2010 Posted June 4, 2010 hmm its a memebers on here, personally not liking the wheels and i don't tend to touch anything thats a cat c or D Quote
stevo1179 Posted June 4, 2010 Author Posted June 4, 2010 My hand is forced by budget unfortunately, can't go over £10k, see Cat C/D as a better option than import, though I may be swayed. Quote
rtbiscuit Posted June 4, 2010 Posted June 4, 2010 cat c and d might seem cost effective, but you could end up spending a small fortune on them putting things right. imports are a good route into a cheap car. Quote

Dene8 Posted June 4, 2010 Posted June 4, 2010 Can't go over £10k, see Cat C/D as a better option than import. Your logic escapes me........ Previously written off car or one from the land of the rising sun......... Quote
stevo1179 Posted June 4, 2010 Author Posted June 4, 2010 I may be swayed, as the consensus seems to in favour of the import, and you guys have an imformed opinion. I've read about the different spec etc, other than insurance is there any other downsides. There are a couple of nice looking manual imports at the £8k mark. Quote
Stew Posted June 4, 2010 Posted June 4, 2010 Import Zeds are almost the same. They aren't a scabby poor boy Zed in comparison to the UK cars. Check the import sections. Pick the spec you like and look for a car that matches up. Quote
350 Russ Posted June 4, 2010 Posted June 4, 2010 That azure is an import, it hasnt got any headlight washers, must have had a uk rear on it at some point. Quote
stevo1179 Posted June 4, 2010 Author Posted June 4, 2010 Wouldn't of known that, found this one on pistonheads, is it too cheap?? http://pistonheads.com/sales/1767475.htm Quote
Stew Posted June 4, 2010 Posted June 4, 2010 That azure is an import, it hasnt got any headlight washers, must have had a uk rear on it at some point. The first one posted? I don't think it is an import. I bet the bumper was replaced when it was put back on the road after being written off and the washer jets weren't cut in. The one you link to is VERY cheap but looks like a nice example indeed. Can't see if it has brembo brakes but even if it didn't and you wanted them you could still be driving it for £8500 without negotiation with brembos installed. It's certainly be worth a look! Quote
V88 REG Posted June 4, 2010 Posted June 4, 2010 Think theres better models than that... and the cars not great either Quote

Doesnt have Brembos, can just about make out the plain calipers. My brembos will be for sale soon Quote
