428 miles to a tank!

Just been down to cornwall for a few days and managed to get 428 miles out of a tank of fuel in the zed! Very happy with that, and thats a mix of all sorts of roads. Averaged 28.2mpg. Thought i would share this with people.... not sure why

Lol lucky you, 300 to the tank is the most I've had. The least I've had is 185.

Well done mate, I take it that it was mostly motorway miles? I've never reached over 300 miles to a tank on my zed yet

Pushing the car instead of driving it does not count on mpg!

Ive managed 615km (382 miles) on the way to Le Mans before - anyone else noticed that the fuel economy seems to improve once you pass the speed limit??

I would say that was about 60% motorway sat at about 80-90 and the rest on twisties , with a few blasts as well! I have the HR engine , maybe they are better on fuel?

I have never had got less than 320 between fill ups, and there has always been 15l plus left in the tank... Uk spec.

On a side note , my boss has just bought a s4 cab on a 07 plate, what are my chances against it?

i've had 450 out of the tank and the MPG gauge was showing another 50 miles left in the tank.

 

not impossible to achieve, just requires lots of roads with average speed cameras on most of the journey

I fairly frequently get 500 miles out of a tank. We're talking filling up with ~78 litres after that...

Filled up this morning... 32.2 mpg indicated, 31.1 mpg actual... Theoretical 545 miles from a full tank

not bad my best is about 400 with the dte at 90 somthing before i filled up so total nearly 500

50mph average speed check + cruise = 33mpg ! think the Z does pretty well when it has too

I get way in excess of that doing short 6 mile commutes for the whole tank...

I've done 440 miles on a tank, but that was pushing it a bit
